The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our client's busy team on a contractual position. In this role you will be responsible for Business Analysis and requirements Management throughout the life-cycle of the project. Main purpose of the role is to implement a new self-service Public Website and technology platform for the non-residential customer base to address a few issues with the digital experience for customers.

Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Collaboration with stakeholders and project teams to understand and articulate business problems or opportunities
  • Development of well-defined and high-quality business requirements, functional/technical requirements, user stories, and business cases for approval
  • Work with relevant IT subject matter experts to ensure solutions are designed to requirements and verified through testing
  • Work with relevant program/project managers to develop project artefacts
  • Ensure projects meet the needs of the customer and business and are aligned to the overall corporate strategy
  • Support the BA Centre of Excellence by complying with and contributing to best practice and delivery methodologies and processes

The Company:
Our Client is a leading Government owned utilities company with assets across Western Australia. Their main objective is to provide sustainable management across various services.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Circa 7 years experience as a Senior Business Analyst
  • Experience with writing business cases
  • Experience working across Waterfall and Agile projects
  • End-to-end project life-cycle experience from initiation through to planning, execution and closure
  • Process modelling using BPMN2, ePC, ArchiMate techniques
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Extremely organised with strong time-management skills
  • Strong communication/interpersonal/facilitation skills

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

  • Experience working on public website development projects
  • Experience working in Utilities and/or Government
  • Experience in using business process modelling tools such as Mega HOPEX or ARIS
  • Certification with the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) or equivalent
  • Certification in Project Management (Prince2, PMP)
  • Certification in Agile or equivalent
  • Certification in ITIL
