The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Fabrication Superintendent to join our client's team on an initial 12 months contract. As a member of the Company Site's Construction Team, in this role you will be responsible for providing site leadership and supervision to the Contractor to ensure that all construction activities are executed efficiently and to schedule, delivering facilities fit-for-purpose meeting defined safety and quality standards and established project objectives.

Main responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

  • Ensures all safety regulations are implemented and complied with at the site by Organisation's personnel
  • Provide effective quality coordination to ensure that process controls and prerequisite product and service verification and inspection arrangements are established and resourced
  • Enforces approved engineering/quality work procedures/plans and ensures adherence to documents and drawings issued for the construction activity
  • Ensures contractors have a thorough understanding of the job and demonstrate the capability to execute the job
  • Monitors movement of project material issued to contractor
  • Reviews and resolves field ambiguities or discrepancies among codes, specification and drawings interpretation, elevating any significant deviations or changes
  • Coordinating access and work of other Company contractors at Subcontractor facilities

Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Circa 15+ years of fabrication experience in the oil & gas construction industry with:
    o A pipe welding QC background with good knowledge of welding standards along with wider coordination capabilities
    o Experience in NDT, Coating, Pressure Testing. trial lifts and loadouts
    o Good understanding and able to read/interpret construction drawings
    o Audit, deficiency reporting and correction.
  • Familiar with oil and gas industry construction practices, safety standards and fully familiar with industry safe work practices
  • Be familiar with, and fully understand Organisation's HSE and general project policies and procedures
  • Knowledge about applicable regulatory or code rules of construction, installation and test of jumpers
