The Role:
This position is for an experienced Field Subsea Intervention/Completion Engineer, with demonstrated skills and experience with floating rig and vessel operations, subsea completion operations, riserless intervention from monohull vessels, subsea wells, ROV Operations, manifolds, infrastructure, control systems and high value completion types.

It is anticipated this role will be for a period of 12-24 months. The job is field-based when subsea well completions and intervention operations are being executed and office-based when there are no field completion or intervention operations - in order to ensure readiness for the next phase of field operations - and also at project close-out.

Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Participate in D&C Subsea equipment qualifications including detailed design reviews, extended factory acceptance testing (EFAT), system integration tests (SIT), site receival tests (SRT).
  • Develop detailed handling & running procedures for subsea completion and intervention equipment.
  • Provide oversight of one or multiple D&C subsea completion equipment packages including manufacturing, delivery, inspection & preparation and shipment offshore for installation.
  • Coordinate key interfaces between Facilities, Operations, Drilling, Completions and the Subsea equipment vendor.
  • Well site Supervision of D&C subsea and completion equipment installation and intervention from a MODU and / or MSV.
  • Liaise with the Project and Operations Engineers in the office for additional support and technical counsel.
  • Ensure the completion/intervention program is executed according to the plan and use Company HSE processes and tools to ensure work is conducted safely and efficiently.
  • Support the rig DSR as a night or day Subsea Completion Field Engineer lead.
  • As frontline supervisor for D&C, ensure highest degree of integrity and Company values and behaviours are exemplified.
  • Manage contractors and key interfaces using Company HES management systems.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A capacity to work with a variety of personality types
  • A talent for organisation and a strong HSE focus
  • Previous experience with Subsea Test Trees, subsea production tree installation, and experience with Light Well Intervention operations will be an advantage
