The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Offshore Pipeline Installation Engineer to support Owners Team's management of the GS2 subsea pipeline systems' installation. Reporting to the Pipelines Installation Package Lead; responsible for safe and efficient planning and execution of the pipeline installation scope. Initially Perth based role, position will move to a site-based rotation Q1 2021.

Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Ensure Contractor's engineering and project management is in accordance with Contract, consistent with good industry practice, timely, high-quality and delivers a safe and efficient offshore execution campaign
  • Effective and active interface management with Owners Team Engineering, Owners Teams responsible for provision of Company Provided Items, Systems Completion Team and Pre-Operations Team
  • In conjunction with the Execution Readiness Coordinator, completion of execution readiness activities to enable timely and effective vessel mobilisation
  • Act as Company Offshore Site Engineer on Contractor vessels during offshore installation and pre-commissioning activities

OE Responsibilities

  • Support Project wide safety initiatives including development and implementation of an Incident & Injury free (IIF) culture
  • Cascade the IIF Vision and Project expectation to Contractors. Exhibit Operational Excellence (OE) leadership behaviours
  • Responsible for package compliance with Project plans and processes, including: HES, PTW, Quality, Risk Management, Interface, MOC and all relevant Operational Excellence (OE) elements

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Circa 10 years' experience in the installation and pre-commissioning of offshore pipelines, with a preference for both Contractor and Operator roles. Preference for experience working on projects on North West Shelf, Australia
  • Working knowledge of mechanised welding, AUT and RTR NDT methods, preferably with CRA pipelines. Experience with diverless connection systems
  • In depth knowledge of applicable international industry standards, codes and regulations specifically DNV-OS-F101 (2013) and DNVGL-ST-N001

Skill / Training / Education:

  • Recognised bachelor's degree in relevant engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage Contractor performance
  • Ability to achieve milestones, work independently and collaboratively, as required

Ticket Requirements:


Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

  • Experience as Offshore Company Representative is preferred
  • Preference for deep water S-lay installation
