The Role:
We are currently seeking two experienced and technically minded Process Control Network (PCN) Specialists to join our client, a global integrated energy leader. Reporting to the PCN Project Technical Team Lead, this role will focus on providing operational and reliability support to assure safe and optimal running of the process control networks. Your professional demeanour and strong interpersonal skills will enable you to build and maintain key relationships in liaising with key system vendors and supporting engineers in various disciplines.

This site based position will initially commence in the Perth office for the first month and transition into a 14x14 rotational roster.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Perform operational technology (OT) domain, system, application and network administration
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Information Technology (IT) systems within industrial control networks
  • Maintain IT applications and databases, infrastructure and network devices to ensure high availability
  • Develop procedures and tools for maintaining systems and system modifications
  • Ensure documentation, evergreen procedures and compliance tasks for the OT/PCN systems are completed and maintained
  • Provide problem solving, continuous improvement and standardization efforts in support of DCS / SCADA and IT applications, databases, infrastructure and network devices

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Degree qualified (Engineering or Computer Science)
  • Demonstrated experience in design, support, administration and troubleshooting in OT/IT systems within operational environments such as storage, servers, HMI, applications, database and networks
  • Demonstrated experience in scripting within Microsoft Windows, particularly in the automation of routine IT preventative maintenance and compliance tasks
  • Proficient in project management, planning, communication skills. Ability to lead/manage multiple projects and/to project teams simultaneously
  • Experience in Yokogawa Industrial Control System (ICS) will be highly regarded
  • Maintain current working knowledge of operational technology (OT/IT) and industrial control system cyber security trends
  • Proficient in their understanding of:
    - SCADA, DCS, PLCs, HMIs, RTUs or related industrial control systems
    - OPC, Historians, relational databases
    - System integration, network topology and protocols such as TCP, ModBus, Profibu
