The Role:
Our client is looking for a Project Engineer to sit within the Technical Projects Department on a 12 month contract.

Reporting into Technical Projects Team Lead your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Manage a number of capital projects concurrently with predictability in order to maintain and enhance the ABU base production facilities
* Manage engineering design, contracting, procurement, information systems, cost and schedule and support construction during execution by using CPDEP and CSOC principles
* Support the deployment of fit for purpose work processes, guidelines, policies, and standards that will ensure technical superiority, quality of the work product, effective project execution, capital stewardship and efficiency
* Deploy and champion use of CPDEP, promote use of value improving practices and metrics to enhance and measure performance
* Driving projects through phase gates and presenting at DRB meetings to senior management within the ABU
* Demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement with the governance board of the project
* Build a collaborative team environment between the primary engineering contractor and the projects team
* Work with the Construction team and support during the construction phase of the project
* The role requires CSOC Regular certification and OE certification

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Significant project engineering and construction experience with medium to large capital projects in green and/or brown field work environment
* Experienced with engineering standards, principles and concepts
* Broad understanding of various disciplines
* Demonstrated ability to build a positive working relationships among diverse work group including external service providers
* Understanding of the facilities design and construction OE process, phase gate project execution process and CSOC tools such as decision quality and DE/DRB engagements to progress projects
* Competent in the application of company practices, behavioural based safety practices, governmental regulations and industry codes
* Ability to engage with high level stakeholders and clearly communicate project value drivers, status and risks
