The Role:
As a Project Engineer for the Technical Projects Team you will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of initiatives / small Projects undertaken. Duties will include:

  • Bridge the boundaries between home office-based organisations such as Engineering, Cost/Scheduling and
  • Supply Chain and site-based organisations such as Construction, Operations and Maintenance.
  • Steward and lead special-focus initiatives / small Projects including development and maintenance of cost estimates, schedules, reporting, and multi-discipline coordination for delivery of work-packs and associated deliverables for implementation.
  • Ownership, including where necessary raising, expediting and coordination of activities associated with all initiative/small Projects MOCs.
  • Leverage Systems and Processes (e.g. Facilities Design and Construction) to delivery initiatives / small Projects.
  • Develop and drive DSPs (Decision Support Packages) or KDSs (Key Decision Sheets), as needed, to approval for initiatives / small Projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

* Extensive working experience with Oil & Gas industry required.
* Engineering Degree or equivalent.
* Prior experience on the Gorgon facility being highly regarded.
* Experience with LNG will be highly regarded.
* A strong working knowledge of the various engineering disciplines such as mechanical, piping, rotating equipment, civil / structural, electrical, and instrumentation is beneficial.
* Familiarity with relevant Australian Standards is desirable.
* Fully competent in project engineering and management.
* Good general computing skills including excel and access required.
* Strong organisational, interpersonal, written and verbal (English language) communications skills are essential.
* Creative, pragmatic, open-minded thinking and can do attitude are required to facilitate solutions.
