The Role:
Our client is looking for a Senior Planner to join them for a 12 month contract. This position calls for an experienced and proactive Senior Planner with significant previous project experience analysing, monitoring and controlling Phase 2, 3 and 4 Projects, Contracts and Packages, preferably with Offshore Oil & Gas experience.

Reporting into the Lead Planner, responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Adhere to established Planning Procedures and Schedule Management processes as directed by Lead Planner
* Inspect, analyse, monitor and report on Contractor plans and schedules for continuous alignment with project priorities and drivers and provide insight into forward planning
* Liaise directly with Package Owners to highlight areas of risk or non-alignment, raise back with Lead Planner for overall consolidation. Build and maintain schedule ownership with Package Owners
* Monitor progress and performance by Package and overall Contract against Approved Contract Schedule to determine any trends and to generate accurate forecasts
* Prepare and maintain inputs to Project Master Schedule through integration and schedule roll-up to appropriate level as defined by Lead Planner
* Identify, monitor and report on critical and near-critical interfaces within the Contract/Package scope of works and interfaces to the larger project. Advise potential deviations through Package Owner and Lead Planner
* Facilitate regular schedule risk and opportunity identification and mitigation/realisation meetings with Package Owners and Contractor as defined by Lead Planner
* Attend regular Contractor meetings in support of Package Owners.
* Evaluate scope changes, additional work requests for schedule impact.
* Adhere, contribute and support the project Management of Change processes

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* An understanding of the specified scopes, plus a clear understanding of the engineering-procurement-fabrication-construction/installation process and the influences of each stage on the other in this process.
* Management of Change will be crucial in the success of the project and the individual must be knowledgeable and experienced in managing change and understanding and estimating the schedule impacts of change.
* An ability to work independently away from Home office in an integrated Project Controls Team is crucial, as is clear, concise and relevant communication with Project Management, Package Owners and Project Controls team members.
* Pro-active engagement with Project and Contractor stakeholders to build solid schedule ownership is a key attribute for this position
* Experience in a similar role essential
