The Role:
On behalf of our International Oil and Gas Operator client, we are seeking an experienced Subsea Controls Engineer to join their team in Perth. An initial 12-month contract, with opportunities to extend for the right candidate. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Systems Completion Manager in the on-schedule delivery of the Systems Completion scope of work. This includes the following:

* Attendance and input to reviews (e.g. constructability, risk, operability reviews etc.)
* Assisting with stakeholder engagement between Project and Operations
* Subsea and Onshore Equipment FAT plan review and attendance for all testing activities.
* Quality assurance, participation, and client acceptance for all Systems Completion Checksheet population and testing activities. This may require international travel.
* Preparation for and participation in on-site Systems Completion activities
* Responsible for interfacing with the Subsea Equipment Vendor team, Offshore Installation Team and ABU Operations on Systems Completion related matters.
* Develop the Project's Subsea Equipment Commissioning plan
* Responsible for ensuring that the Commissioning Test Procedures are appropriately delivered in a timely manner and are implemented in accordance with relevant Project Standards
* Assistance in the development and management of the Systems Completion Commissioning activities
* Responsible to provide engineering support in the execution of the Engineering plans.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Circa 15 years' experience as a subsea control systems engineer planning and delivering Greenfield / brownfield system projects
* The candidate should have broad technical skills and demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
* Previous experience in acting as a technical lead on projects
* Experience managing interfaces on internationally-sourced packages with multiple discipline requirements, including IT, Operations and Maintenance
* Experience as an Owner's Technical Authority and Technical Auditor is beneficial
