The Role:
Our client are looking for Commercial Managers at a variety of levels to join their team in Bristol.

There are opportunities for the following positions including:

Commercial Manager
* The Commercial Manager will be commercially responsible, on any contract assigned to them, for all pre and post contract commercial issues relating to a contract on the HPC project.

Senior Commercial Manager
* The Senior Commercial Manager will typically be responsible for a contract(s) between £100 - £400m in value subject to level of risk or complexity within the Main Civil Works area.
* The Senior Commercial Manager will typically lead a commercial team of up to 10 people

Commercial Lead
* The Commercial Lead - Main Civil Works Contract is responsible for managing a commercial team in the successful delivery of all pre and post contract commercial issues.
* Primary point of commercial contact for the portfolio of contracts and required to work closely and pro-actively with the other stakeholders at all levels and across all the teams within HPC to ensure that the requirements of the Project and their impact upon the overall HPC Project are successfully delivered.

Key responsibilities of the roles will include:
* The day to day management of Supply Chain Assistants under their control
* Providing support to the procurement process during the Procurement phase (pre-award)
* Providing commercial management of contracts during the execution phase (post-award)
* Providing commercial management for the delivery of contract final account agreements (close out)
* Responsible for the delivery of the contract in accordance with HPC governance requirements to meet HPC Project and business objectives
* Supporting the Supply Chain Lead, the Senior Supply Chain Manager will develop a Commercial Team including establishing clear roles, responsibilities & accountabilities
* Effectively & efficiently manage the work of the function, in compliance with internal & external mandatory requirements
* Ensure that all Principal Accountabilities for the Commercial Team are implemented in accordance with HPC commercial procedures.
* Establish an effective commercial and supply chain strategy to enable delivery of successful requirements.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Member of the RICS / CICES / IOB or equivalent professional body is (Essential)
* Educated to degree level (Essential)
* Able to demonstrate a considerable track record of administering successful contracts
* Highly developed commercial skills and demonstrable ability to make sound decisions on matters of significant financial value
* Good understanding of contract performance measurement, risk management and change and claim management
* Track record with most common Forms of Contract (NEC & FIDIC) within the power construction industry and major projects and programme environment; with particular knowledge of UK Law and its impact upon the contract and commercial function is essential

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Familiar with the nuclear site licence conditions and the nuclear baseline philosophy.
* Good understanding of the UK regulatory framework.
