The Role:
Our client is currently looking for an IT Support Officer to join their project team, this is a 3 month contract position with a significant workload associated with preparing replacement computer hardware and installing software.

This position requires an enthusiastic and goal focused individual with exceptional customer service and communication skills coupled with the ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously. As the IT Support Officer you will be responsible for the following;

* Delivering Incident, Request and Problem Management services via phones and Service Desk database as per IT Service Level Agreement
* New user account creation including transfers, change of status, deletions and desk move as per IT Standards
* Accurately maintain Asset Registry for all IT assets provided to end users
* Maintain, create and update the IT Working Procedure Library
* Security Group Creation and assigning Folder permissions via AD
* Computer replacement / deployment via HP deployment schedules
* Daily backup administration using Backup exec
* Remote support of satellite offices and staff
* Offsite support of installations, roll outs and Projects
* Roll out, Support and Administration of Smartphones
* Onsite Video Conferencing support and management
* Administration of Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Unity Messaging

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
To be considered for this position you will be degree qualified in IT with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position along with knowledge in the following;
* Good working knowledge of MS Windows and desktop products including XP and Win 7
* Active Directory and File permissions
* Lotus Notes & application support

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Previous experience within the Oil & Gas industry is advantageous.
