The Role:
Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager, the Product and Process Support Engineer will work within a team of multi-skilled engineers and technicians in support of manufacturing operations.

This role will provide both support and expertise for released engineering products into Production, through the utilisation of proven engineering knowledge and experience gained through a reliable and efficient range of manufacture processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

*Provide 1-2-1 support within operations to overcome technical issues
*Work with other business teams to develop both facilities and initiatives that aid production capabilities
*Lead projects to overcome proven operations issues using process analysis engineering knowledge and basic technical training
*Proactively increasing the knowledge and use of internationally recognised manufacturing standards (e.g. IPC)
*Play an active role in your own professional development as well as your colleagues by researching and bringing relevant best practices and skills to the production department
*Training, developing and coaching of colleagues within the Production Engineering team as well as the wider Operations team
*Using research tools and techniques; ascertain root cause analysis of product and process failures supported by logical feedback to Production and Supply Chain to support the reduction of future failures
*Proactively identify then take ownership of processes were improvement are required, using established methods of analysis that deliver efficiency improvements
*Integrate and engage in continuous improvement (CI) activities by identifying and presenting data/solutions relating to released product performance through monthly KPI's
*Support products in the field and provide expertise on specific tasks where required
*Interface with the Design team to ensure product specifics and concept design(s) complement and meet Design for Manufacture (DFM)
*Learn as much as possible about existing products to allow greater support of the existing product range as well as develop the knowledge base within the company
*Contribute toward the manufacturing technology roadmap, bringing to the fore your analysis of existing processes, commercial requirements and knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, through research and interfacing with relevant supplier routes

Qualifications

To be successful you will have:-

*A degree in relevant engineering discipline or a HND/C minimum.
*4+ years direct relevant experience supporting operations and production (with introducing products to production with electro/mechanical experience)
