The Role:
Candidate shall report to Facility Engineering Manager and will be an integral member of a multi-discipline Operations support Engineering Department.

Candidate's responsibilities shall include:

 Leading a team of mechanical/piping engineers, supporting projects and plant modifications.

 Manpower estimation, work planning, progress monitoring and budget control, to support on-going projects and modifications.

 Provide technical support, as necessary, to all Departments, including; Operations, Maintenance, Projects (Brownfield Development Projects), and Construction on all mechanical technical issues arising.

 Execute various Management of change operational based work scopes

 Participate in various project design reviews. Working closely with operations personnel (eg Operations Manager, Ops advisors, Site Engineers and HSE personnel) to define and lead where necessary on the following key aspects of mechanical design

 Provide technical input to management of change process. Carry out Site Surveys, preparation of SOR/SOW/Basis of Design, tender documents and specifications when necessary, for in-house and third party engineered modifications.

 Review and approve as necessary, third party engineering deliverables

 Provide assurance on engineering compliance with applicable Standards, Specifications, Codes and Regulations. Ensure that non-conformities and temporary deviations are identified.

 Provide support as necessary to activity planning and progress reporting

 Develop approval of all mechanical engineering design related documents

 Represent on technical issues associated with 3rd party organisations such as key vendors, national authorities, and regulatory bodies where necessary.

 Mechanical inputs to support performance contract including safety audits, Isolation Audits, Safety Observations, Risk assessments, incident investigations etc.

 Provide procurement engineering support for material requisition development, bid evaluations and supplier documentation reviews.

 Support Integrity Management with engineering solutions for repairs, modifications and design re-rates

Skills and Experience:

 BSc/HND in mechanical engineering, or equivalent.

 The applicant must have a minimum of 20 years relevant experience in mechanical engineering with oil and gas operations and engineering, including 10 years in lead engineer role.

 Candidate to demonstrate experience of key engineering requirements gained from engineering contractor experience in greenfield engineering, as well as Facilities brownfield engineering gained from IOC/NOC Operator experience.

 Experience of repair, modification and re-rating of plant and equipment.

 Experience in piping, pipeline, static equipment and rotating equipment disciplines, with a focus on piping and static equipment.

 Candidate to demonstrate familiarity with all relevant industry codes, standards and practices (API,ASME,ISO), for piping, pipeline, valves & piping equipment, static equipment and rotating equipment.

 Candidate to demonstrate strong coaching skills developed in multi-national projects with diverse nationalities and cultures.
