The Role:
Duties:
· Work as part of a multidiscipline team to carry out unit reliability studies
· Make continuous improvement recommendations for asset capability, safety, and operability through elimination of bad actors and/or improved equipment or component selection and innovation
· Carry out desk top risk-based maintenance studies on critical electrical and instrumented equipment, benchmarking current practices against company/industry best practice, making recommendations for gap closure
· Responsible for detection of E&I vulnerabilities by conducting the needed engineering studies.
· Responsible for completing gap closure recommendations - focusing on assigned priorities. Develop accurate scope of work / specification for work
· development of project scope for the several Hull site reliability improvement projects. He/she supports the projects organization regarding these projects.
· Use SAP to update preventative maintenance routines, bills of materials, maintenance task lists
· Ensure equipment design changes align with the engineering standards, practices and management of change systems while evaluating the impact on reliability
· Work closely with maintenance, planners, and operations on equipment reliability issues and failure trends to improve existing asset strategies
· Conduct reliability analysis to predict remaining equipment service life and make recommendations for obsoleted equipment change strategy
· Work with field technicians to provide directions on oversee equipment trouble shooting

Must-haves (minimum requirements):
· A Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.
· 7 years of experience in instrumentation & electrical systems ideally working in Petrochemicals / Oil and Gas industry.
· Maintenance, reliability experience relating to brownfield sites.
· Proficient in the use and management of CMMS systems
· Sound knowledge on relevant instrument electrical standards/regulations e.g. ATEX, IEC 61511 etc
· Knowledge of Safety Instrument Systems (SIS)
· The ability to anticipate potential problems, investigate and have a strong sense of accountability
· Experience in improving and embedding reliability requirements into new projects
· Strong collaboration / influencing skills that enables you to build positive relationships with team members & diverse groups
· Strong safety mindset



Preferred Experience.
Use of Reliability tools and analytical processes:
· Criticality & Vulnerability Assessments
· Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA),
· Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA),
· Risk Based Maintenance (RBM)
· Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM),
· Reliability Availability Maintainability (RAM)
· Life Cycle Cost analysis.

Reliability improvements on the following.
· Instrumentation and machinery protection systems associated with rotating equipment for compressors and turbines, motors (HV/LV) and VSDs
· Control systems, Safety systems architecture, obsolescence, SLC management.
· Critical instrumentation including, control valves, XVs, SIFs, etc…
· Electrical infrastructure including UPS, Battery charges, switchgear, etc…
· Develop and prioritise CMMS maintenance strategies & maintenance report forms.
· Investigating failures.
