The Company:
Our client is an international company that caters to the Chemical industry. with projects across the Middle East. Due to recent expansion, they are seeking an experienced BD manager with strong ME Experience to help them grow their brand across the region.

The Role:
Key responsibilities:

* Ensure compliance with company standards regarding Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) and Ethics, both for self and team. Ensure full compliance with Competition Laws.
* Propose annual sales targets (volume / price / margin) and achieve agreed targets, including gap closure plans as needed.
* Develop and execute the strategic sales plan for the ME region, in order to achieve the agreed sales targets and to expand the company's customer base.
* Develop and manage an appropriate network of distributors / agents in the region.
* Establish and manage commercial contracts as required.
* Monitor production and selling costs, liaise with customer service, logistics and credit department to optimise profit and cash.
* Ensure that reliable management information and forecasts are produced and reported.
* Obtain accurate market intelligence and share with the business team.
* Evaluate current sales operational methodologies and identify and implement process improvements.
* Work closely with marketing teams to agree & deliver annual NBD plans.
* Support Marketing team in the development of business strategies.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* University degree in a chemical, engineering or business discipline.
* Previous commercial sales experience in the Middle East with a proven history of delivering result in a similar industry.
* International experience and a strong communicator who can build relationships with internal teams.
* A drive to seek-out and create new opportunities and goal orientated.
* Open to signficant travel requirements.
* Strong Middle East Experience selling Chemical products (carbonates, ethylene oxide)
* Must have worked for Multinational companies within the Chemical industry
