The Role:
As a part of its personnel succession and business continuity strategy our Client is seeking to recruit a Chartered Structural Engineer.

The Client are a specialist decommissioning, decontamination, dismantling and demolition consultancy. Their principal services are focused on the safe and cost-effective project management of the decommissioning and demolition of high hazard process plant to 'best in class' levels of HSE excellence, engineering innovation both in the UK and overseas.

In this role you will support the project teams as the Group's structural engineering Functional Lead, and Technical Authority, in addition to undertaking more traditional project management duties.

You will also be responsible for supporting the Operations Team in the preparation and execution of major high hazard process sector decommissioning/demolition projects.

Given the nature of the projects this role offers a unique opportunity to undertake additional explosives engineering training coached and mentored by the Group's existing explosives team and other external organisations. This will allow for the attainment of the status of MIExpE.

Your background
* Previous experience in a civil/structural design consultancy involving major steelwork, and reinforced concrete structures, including compilation of structural assessments of existing structures, familiar with both historical and current design codes including related assessment software packages.
* Previous experience within the design consultancy to have included site-based experience/role in process/power generation sector or similar heavy utility or process industry.
* Qualified to Honours degree level, (Structural or Civil Engineering) and Master's degree in related subject or evidence of further relevant education/training

* Chartered Structural Engineer
