The Role:
This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work offshore assisting in the delivery of Telecomms support across the Southern North Sea Asset. The position involves working 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, reporting to the Telecomms Team Leader

Maintaining a broad spectrum of offshore Telecommunications systems including but not limited to
- Line of Sight Microwave Radio
- TDM Multiplexers
- PAGA Systems
- Marine & Airband VHF Radios (Fixed and Portable)
- Maintenance of Atex certified equipment (COMPEX Certified)
- Fibre Optic systems
- Weather monitoring systems
- Entertainment systems
- Knowledge of Process Control Systems
- Understanding of IP based networks
- Experience in GOC/MOC processes and be able to take ownership of project works, from initial design through to install and commissioning
- Carry out trade scheduled maintenance
- Carry out and manage Telecoms Projects
- Ability to supervise vendors and 3rd Party contractors
- Understanding of Performance standards & Safety Cases
- Understanding of permit to work and Maximo maintenance management systems
- Carry out EX inspections in line with Perenco UK procedures
- Repair equipment and systems while maintaining its integrity
- Carry out fault finding functions with the ability to work independently and under pressure
- Producing reports and recommendations as appropriate
- Work within a team of multi-skilled technicians to safely maintain the platforms within the operational and maintenance procedures
- Produce comprehensive handovers to colleagues and contribute to the weekly reports
- Carry out and Manage Telecomms Projects

Safety Critical Tasks:

ATEX Equipment Training, knowledge, assessment and competency requirements to maintain the telephone systems associated with the site.
EPIRB System Training, knowledge, assessment and competency requirements to maintain the EPIRB systems associated with the site.

Handportable Radios (Emergency & Normal)
Training, knowledge, assessment and competency requirements to maintain the equipment associated with the site.
Performance Standards And Regulations
Competence requirements for awareness and understanding of performance standards and PFEER
regulations and UKOOA guidelines
Public Address/General Alarm System
Training, knowledge, assessment and competency requirements to maintain the PA/GA System
associated with the site.
VHF/UHF Marine & Aero Base Stations
Training, knowledge, assessment and competency requirements to maintain the radio base stations

- A minimum of 2 years Offshore Experience with current valid offshore certification and medical
- An understanding of radio principles, propogation, multiplexing and general digital techniques
- Preferred SUEPEE or COMPEX qualifications
