The Role:
This position will have responsibility for supervising a team of multi-skilled technicians and operators to safely operate and maintain the platform within the operational and maintenance procedures, working to maximise the plant availability in the processing of gas received from offshore fields. The successful candidate could work across any of our offshore assets and will be working a 2 week on 2 week off rotation.

Key responsibilities include:
 Ensuring that production requirements are satisfied and equipment downtime is minimised without compromising safety
 Maintenance activities are planned , prioritised and executed in a safe and efficient manner
 Carry out Area Authority role for control of work activities
 Ensure team members are at a competency level adequate to fulfill their roles and responsibilities and provide the necessary coaching to achieve this
 Ensure that activities are conducted in a safe manner and in compliance with company policy, procedures and statutory HSE requirements
 Provide safety leadership to the offshore teams making the appropriate interventions to prevent unsafe situations or unacceptable risks being taken whilst ensuring work is carried out efficiently.
 Actively engage with and promote the Perenco Competence Assurance Process (PCAP). Ensure PCAP has the right level of visibility within asset and recommend initiatives to improve PCAP attainment. Carryout Competence Assurance Assessments for members of operations team

Safety Critical Tasks:

Management of Offshore Emergency Response - EER- Competent in the management of emergencies for offshore installations
Incident and Accident Investigation - Be able to thoroughly investigate the more serious incident and accidents to ensure lessons are learned and manage our reputation with the regulators
Integrity - Maintain company's technical integrity policies and guidelines, adherence to processes and approval or work in support of performance standards and asset integrity. Ensure safe working environment is maintained at all times
Permit to Work - Issuing Authority - Manage the Permit to Work and Isolations Process to ensure that conflicting activities are managed and that a safe working environment is maintained
Risk Management - Risk Management - Understand and manage the offshore operations to ensure that Perenco UK are not taking inappropriate risks in executing their work. This requires a thorough knowledge of HSE acceptable standards, risk management tools and practical operational experience to ensure the correct risk/benefit analysis is carried out.
Safety Critical Element Maintenance (SCE) & Asset / Plant Integrity - Supervise all planned and intervention maintenance across the hub. Able to understand priorities and influence where necessary. Ensure all Maintenance activities and all data to be recorded against Safety Critical Equipment within the Maintenance Management System is submitted in an accurate and timely manner
Safety Leader - Safety Leader (maintain safety culture) - Provide safety leadership to the onshore or offshore teams by making the appropriate interventions to prevent unsafe situations or unacceptable risks being taken whilst ensuring work is carried out efficiently. Need to challenge traditional thinking where appropriate relations with them to minimise regulatory penalties

Qualifications / Experience:

 Qualified to minimum of an HNC within an engineering subject or experienced in a relevant trade
 Good foundation knowledge of process operations in the offshore gas production industry
 Strong leadership skills in order to develop others and to facilitate change where the tasks are complex, unclear or uncertain
 Offshore certificates to include MOME (Management of Major Emergencies, SIRP (Safe Isolation and Reinstatement of Plant)
