The Role:
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to lead a team of Contract Specialists. This role will report directly to our Administration Manager. The position will be based at Norwich with travel to our other sites as operationally required. The successful candidate will provide sound commercial advice to Contract Sponsors and Users and ensure the Company maximise the economic benefits from the services provided by it Contractors. You will be confident and self motivated and have good analytical and problem solving skills. As you will be representing the Company we expect a high level of integrity and a professional manner in dealing with Contractors and Third Parties

Key accountabilities include:
- Lead a team of contract specialists to provide the best commercial guidance to contract sponsors, ensuring value for money is optimised
- Advise, guide and support Contract Users on the fundamental principles and processes to adopt when developing and implementing contracting strategies
- Draft and compile requests for Information, Requests for proposal, Invitation to Tender, Tender Evaluation and Contract documents in a clear, detailed proactive manner with the objective of minimising claims and disputes
- Ensure tendering, bid clarifications and tender evaluations are carried out consistently and fairly
- Work closely with the Company's legal team to support Contract Users in the resolution of commercial and contractual issues with contractors including review of terms and conditions of contract in collaboration with legal, risk and insurance specialists
- Prepare recommendations to management for award and execution of a variety of contracts
- Take ownership and act with the authority of the Nominated Company Commercial Representative and maintain a designated portfolio of contracts
- Support Contract Users in commercial negotiations with contractors
- Draft and issue contract letters and notices when required
- Manage various contracts throughout the lifecycle of the contract including supporting contractor performance management

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Oil & Gas would be advantageous
- MCIPS
- Qualified to degree level or able to demonstrate equivalent practical experience
- Working knowledge of LOGIC or similar style standard contracts
- Proficient in IT toolkit including MS word and Excel
