The Role:
This is a great opportunity to become an integral part of our dynamic team at Perenco. Based in Norwich this position has the responsibility to deliver the system health, operability, integrity and regulatory compliance of subsea controls for Perenco's SNS subsea assets.
The role will oversee the architecture, delivery, installation and commissioning of new Subsea Production Controls equipment (topside and subsea equipment, HPUs, TUTUs, umbilicals, subsea distribution equipment and safety instrumented systems). This is a senior position and will deputise for the Subsea Technical Authority.
This role will be based in the Norwich office Monday to Friday but will require regular travel offshore as operationally dictated.
Key responsibilities include
 Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards and procedures
 Operations support of existing subsea control and safety infrastructure;
- Provide detailed testing methodologies tailored to individual systems.
- Interpret test results and advise on remedial actions.
- Management of spares and maintenance strategies.
- Participate in investigations and incidents analysis.
 Develop scopes of work, specifications, costs estimates and schedules for new, and modifications to, infrastructure which shall cover controls, pipelines, risers, marine interventions, etc.
 Develop specification of work scopes for vendors.
- Evaluate vendor procedures and offered work packages.
- Manage vendor progress through the course of supply and installation.
 Organise and participate in HIRA, HAZOP, LOPA etc.
 Identify potential cost savings and safeguard Perenco business interests
 Integrity management of SNS subsea control systems
Safety Critical Tasks
Maintenance Management System - Auditing of maintenance activities and data recorded against Safety Critical Equipment's within the Maintenance Management System. Ensure work orders are submitted in an accurate and timely manner. Review safety critical maintenance back logs, review and draft PMT's
Management of Change (MoC) - Technical Reviewer for both project and operations activities. Review Management of Change proposals via the PeMOC system, address technical queries, ensure compliance with technical standards and provide specialist engineering advice.
Incident and Accident Investigation - Participate and research incident investigations for any aspect of PUK activities. Ensure lessons are learned and communicated to the engineers. Meet with, respond to and manage our reputation with the regulators.
QSHE Compliance - Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation and best practice for all aspects of production operations and project activities. Ensure that the TA and operations managers are informed of infractions to QSHE performance. Conduct auditing and surveys to ensure ongoing compliance.
Experience / Qualifications
 Ideally degree qualified or a minimum of HND level in a C&I engineering based discipline
 Minimum of 10 years relevant experience and working within a projects environment would be an advantage
 Strong technical understanding of Subsea requirements including:
Control & Instrumentation, Topside Controls, Wellheads, Risers, J-tubes, Pipelines & Spools
 Working knowledge of relevant industry standards.
 Strong analytical and IT Skills
 Be able to work effectively in a team, taking the lead when required
 Strong Interpersonal and communications Skills
 Able to provide innovative and creative solutions to challenges
