The Role:
This is a great opportunity to become an integral part of our Decommissioning team based in Norwich. This position is responsible for the onshore project management of Plug & Abandonment (P&A) activity and is critical to the planning and delivery of the decommissioning plan in a safe and efficient manner.

The primary aspect of the role is to lead and execute well abandonment projects, in compliance with regulatory guidelines and policies and procedures. This will include well P&A design, programme development, procedural compliance, cost control and supporting offshore operations.

This is a contract position for 12 months, primarily based in our Norwich office with occasional visits to offshore sites as required.

Key responsibilities include
 Planning of decommissioning well activities in accordance with SCR (Safety Case Regulations), DCR (Design & Construction Regulations) and other well related legislation.
 Well P&A design in compliance with the relevant industry guidelines.
 Well P&A programme development.
 Well P&A related HSE submissions including Schedule 9s notifications.
 Manage the Independent Well Examiner in relation to well P&A activity.
 Ensure all well activities are planned in compliance with Well Operations Manual and in line with well procedures.
 Ensure that changes to work programmes are in accordance with the Perenco UK Management of Change Procedure. Understand the management of change process and support/implement it when required.
 Compliance with all health, safety and environmental legislation and best practice for all aspects of decommissioning operations.
 Interface with and provide support to the Offshore Well P&A team during offshore operations to optimise the offshore activities
 Responsible for monitoring daily progress of offshore operations
 Provide supervision of offshore activity when required (holiday cover, ad-hoc visits)
 Generate project close out and lessons learned
 Manage the tendering process for services required for well P&A activity
 Manage costs by controlling spending and promoting a challenging cost culture in the operations to ensure we get value from suppliers and contractors
 Support a culture of safety awareness and compliance which is delivered through robust discipline

 Ensure regulatory compliance and other standards as required in operational and decommissioning commitments.
 Set local environmental objectives within overall programme.
 Assure competence with respect to environmental responsibilities.
 Act as focal point for management assurance audit.
 Contribute to investigations as part of the MOI process.

Safety Critical Tasks
SNS Corporate and Well Guidelines Understanding and adherence to guidelines
SNS Well Intervention - Well Barrier Management
Maintain control of wells at all times, ensuring pressure and well fluids are contained.
SNS Well Intervention Activities Identification and implementation of well intervention activities.
Well Abandonment Guidelines Understanding and adherence to guidelines

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 Degree (BSc or BEng) in Mechanical Engineering and/or significant experience in well operations
 Knowledge of well operations, including wireline, slickline, cementing, coiled tubing and completions
 Previous experience of well abandonment design and operations is advantageous but not essential
 Offshore experience of well operations would be an advantage
 Strong, demonstrable leadership skills in order to develop others, provide timely feedback and guidance to the Team Leaders
 Extensive operational or project knowledge of well intervention
 Committed to safety improvement and protection of the environment
 Have a can do attitude, able to embrace a new approach to work activities and encourages others in the offshore project team to embrace change
