The Role:
Achieve comprehensive procurement services to Qatargas functions through establishing contracts and implementing sourcing strategies and related policies and procedures to ensure meeting agreed performance criteria.

Key Job Accountabilities

1. Achieve assigned procurement tasks and tenders within the agreed performance criteria that can be complex in nature such as material with services or non-standard terms & conditions.

2. Inspect and review purchase requisitions for completeness and liaise with end users to resolve any outstanding issues.

3. Apply relevant sourcing strategies to identify suitable suppliers and communicate with suppliers for assigned commodities, prepare Bidders List and issue requests for quotations or tenders.

4. Analyze and evaluate supplier technical and commercial quotations in order to facilitate and recommend the decision making process.

5. Resolve general purchasing problems, variations, and dispute issues, with an appreciation of the overall value-effectiveness of solutions.

6. Identify benchmark pricing and provide reports on availability costs and product developments for the assigned commodities.

7. Maintain strategic and ethical relationship with key suppliers and ensure effective coordination of buying activity where required.

8. Negotiate the prices, terms & conditions, and delivery as applicable to satisfy Qatargas business requirements and targeted savings.

9. Establish commercial commitments between Qatargas and suppliers to procure required materials up to a value according to the ToFA.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in Engineering, Science, Commercial discipline or equivalent.

Knowledge and/or Experience
* 4 years' direct experience in purchasing/procurement within the oil and gas industry.

Technical and Business Skills
* High standard of written and spoken English.
* Excellent in written and spoken English.
* Computer literacy (MS Office) including the use of software applications, including SAP.
* Planning and target delivery skills.
* Ability to communicate in a highly effective manner with internal/external clients.
