The Role:

Contract Term in Months 24 Months

Job Purpose
* Responsible for all Project civil engineering deliverables pertaining to the onshore pipeline tie-in and the associated civil works in accordance with the Technical Requirement and Project Specifications.
* Lead pipeline onshore crossing design including assessment of different strategies (e.g. tunnelling vs. directional drilling) and evaluation of the impact on neighbouring infrastructure.
* Responsible to design pipeline onshore trench and provide technical input to onshore construction and execution plans.
* Support design and execution of pipeline shore pull activities.
* Lead design and specifications development for all civil works required for the beach valve station.
* Review and provide technical input to design and specifications development for all civil works required for the pig receiving station.
* Oversee survey Contractor in planning and executing all required geophysical and geotechnical onshore surveys.
* Ensure that his entire scope of work is completed in accordance with all applicable safety, environmental and quality standards.
* Ensure conformity and compliance of civil work design with RLIC requirements for onshore pipeline corridor and route approval.
* Act as NFE Project Discipline Authority to review and advise on Specification Deviation Request (SRD) and technical queries related to Civil Work engineering.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering. Advanced degree desirable.
* 20+ years of relevant experience as Civil Work engineer in oil and gas industry with emphasis on onshore pipeline projects.
* Significant and demonstrated experience in onshore pipeline design and execution including trench design and trenchless crossing methods such as tunnelling and Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD).
* Experience in pipeline shore pull design and execution.
* Significant experience in working with FEED/EPC Contractors and interfacing with specialized service suppliers (e.g. HDD).
* Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
* A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
* Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD and other relevant applications such as structural and geotechnical simulation tools.
* Excellent communication / written skills and ability to work with different disciplines.
* High awareness of safe working practice
