*The Flow Assurance Specialist stewards all phases of Flow Assurance Engineering. Ensures that the Project's requirements, as detailed in the Technical Specifications, for all process engineering are carried out faithfully, and in a timely fashion. Stewards process engineering aspects of the Project with other discipline leads on the PMT, as necessary. Stewards the interfaces between the PMT and the EPCI contractor's organization with respect to Flow Assurance engineering to ensure quality and minimize change orders. The Flow Assurance Specialist scopes of work are required to progress NFE Offshore Package delivery.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
Provide overall Specialized Flow Assurance Engineering technical leadership and expertise and stewards FEED contractor's activities with respect to flow assurance processes including:
*Review and monitor process design.
*Coordinate Process activities and provides interface with Contractor.
*Coordinate input from other Specialists in support of process flow assurance design and project execution.
*Coordinate the engineering aspects of the project process flow design in support of the project objectives.
*Monitor contractors process flow design performance and provides advice to ensure Company's design goals, design philosophy and specifications are achieved.
*Monitors and reviews contractor's Flow Assurance process engineering effort and offers recommendations to Engineering Manager and Project Engineers.
*Coordinate and/or provide timely review of contractor's process flow designs.
*Coordinates and/or provide support to the procurement and construction activities.
*Supports risk management activities such as Design Risk Assessment and HAZOP.
*Provide support to Operations and Commissioning advisors.
*Specialized detail process flow engineering.
*Development of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
*Development of the schedule, recommended deliverables, and labour hour estimate for process engineering
*Measurement and reporting of physical progress
*Selection, specification, and inspection of process and process control components
*Procurement of process related tagged items including preparation of specifications, bid evaluations, bid tabulations, bid recommendations, etc.
*Review, evaluate, and advise:
*Process flow simulations, optimization, and feasibility studies
*Compliance with design methods and safety factors to be used in design of project. Reviews completed design for correctness, compliance, and operability
*Operability of the unit or plant for start-up, normal, turndown, and shutdown modes. Reviews or sets design basis for abnormal operating conditions
*Process flow pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up planning activities
Key Job Accountabilities
1.Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the company's policies and procedures. Ensuring the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
2.Provide Technical support for the Topside/Pipeline or Jacket Packages as the flow assurance engineer.
3.Responsible for coordination and closeout of cross Package Engineering related issues as requested to support each Package delivery where the Packages have limited resources.
4.Report progress of close-out on weekly basis for presentation to management
5.Ensure effective communication and coordination between all packages on cross package issues.
6.Expected to have sufficient technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognize when technical problems are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions. Seek guidance on areas beyond technical knowledge and manage implantation of solutions.

Part B: Person Specification - Minimum Requirements
*Preferred Master's degree in Engineering
Knowledge and/or Experience
*Recommended 15+ years of experience in discipline with at least five years demonstrated senior flow assurance engineering experience in major capital projects
*Experience with Offshore EPC contractors, sub-contractors and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry
*Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds
*Preferred candidate to be available to work in any country where project dictates and requires support.
Technical and Business Skills
*A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English
*Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some working technical applications.
