The Role:
1. Provides overall project schedule, progress measurement, and change management expertise to the IFEED PMT.
- Reviews Contractor(s) project control procedures (home office and field control procedures) to ensure that IFEED requirements are met.
- Ensures that the schedule control and progress procedures are executed by the Contractor(s) to monitor its schedule control activities and progress reporting.
- Coordinates, monitors, and assesses Contractor(s) efforts in development of the Contract Master Schedule (CMS) and the Progress Measurement System.
- Advises the EPC Contractor's organization with respect to adequacy of project controls tools, reports and schedules.
2. Reviews Contractors schedules submitted with their bids. Veifies bidders schedules for logical links, durations and overall achievability
3. Reviews project changes to evaluate detail schedule impact; responsible for quantifying and incorporating the effect and impact of approved changes in the overall schedule for stewardship purposes.
4. Advises Business Head, Manager and IFEED Leadership Team of any potential schedule issues and when necessary, provides guidance on, corrective action and measures to mitigate any adverse trends. Assists Business Head in developing and reviewing schedule corrective actions and recovery plans, and verifies needed actions/plans are implemented.
5. Supports PMT in cost estimation and control activities prior to EPC contract award.
6. Monitors and appraises the performance of the Contractor(s) compared to agreed control plans in the areas of progress and schedule control.
7. Reviews and checks Contractor(s) progress reports for accuracy of progress measurement. Verifies reviews and endorses claimed progress reported by Contractor(s).
8. Reviews, monitors and control the Contractor(s) EPC schedules for all project activities for logic, level of detail, interfaces, etc (e.g., Level 3, Level 4, short-term look-ahead schedules).
9. Reviews Contractor(s) main subcontractor schedules and ensures that they have been correctly integrated into the overall EPC schedules.
10. Reviews Contractor(s) vendors and suppliers for both critical equipment and bulks and ensures that they have been correctly integrated into into the overall EPC schedules.
11. Reviews and endorses schedule and progress baselines and forecast prepared by Contractor(s).
12. Analyzes schedule and progress trends reported by Contractor(s).
13. Reviews schedule basis of Contractor(s) change proposals - reviews and endorses changes with regards to schedule and progress impact.
14. Analyzes the planned quantity metrics projections for all home office and site disciplines (e.g. Piping, Civil, Electrical, etc.). Monitors actual metrics quantities completed against planned.
15. Supports PMT with ongoing project schedule and progress analysis, reporting and forecasting activities:
16. Develops and maintains project schedules and ensuring that these products reflect the approved project design/execution scope.
17. Analyzes schedule trends, develop and review schedule forecasts.
18. Prepares and compiles Weekly and Monthly Reports (schedule & progress) input to clients Major Projects Reports.
19. Responds to ad hoc requests from PMT related to scheduling and reporting, including development of progress metrics, and/or key performance indicators.
20. Participates in gathering and recording Lessons Learned for the project that relate to progress and schedule areas.
21. Works effectively within established policies and procedures, and participates in the further development of these to meet changing needs.
22. Works in a dynamic team environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost and schedule performance which requires the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy, initiative and the ability to multi-task as essential skills.
23. Demonstrates willingness to tackle a variety of tasks in response to evolving business needs.
24. Works closely with the Business Head for day-to-day planning, scheduling, progress measurement and other project control activities. Provides support with preparation of various reports and management presentations.
25. Interfaces with the other EPC PMT on resolving related issues that requires effective communication, initiative, flexibility and an ability to induce collaboration.
26. Conducts briefing sessions for IFEED PMT with respect to planning and scheduling requirements and processes.
27. Assists Business Head with the verification of physical progress submitted by Contractor(s) on a monthly basis and works with project accounting personnel within the Business Team as part of the monthly invoice and payment cycle.
28. Exhibits leadership skills, integrity, interpersonal understanding, and self-confidence.
29. Effective team player who collaborates well with others.
30. Communicates concisely in written and verbal context; prepares high quality written documents including emails.
31. Utilizes a systematic approach to problem solving that ensures accuracy, timeliness and quality of documentation in resolution.
32. Able to work moderately complex tasks to completion within time constraints of FAXP, with minimal guidance from more experienced staff.
33. Participates in the resolution of problems in more demanding and less familiar situations using precedent and own acquired knowledge.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management (or equivalent), or relevant experience.
* Thorough and extensive knowledge of project controls principles, theories, and concepts.
* Fifteen (15) years experience in project scheduling and controls for EPC oil and gas facilities capital projects / operating companies.
* At least five (5) years field scheduling experience.
* Experience in cost estimating & control
