The Role:
Environmental Manager for Environmental Impact Assessment for a Swedish offshore wind project
The available position is full time during the period January 2021 to July 2022 and will support work related to the EIA for a Swedish offshore windfarm project working together with a team of experienced permitting colleagues.
The key tasks will be to support Permitting Manager in preparing the EIA to be submitted with permit applications in accordance with the project schedule:
* Manage coordination to technical teams acting as a strong interface to the project's technical package managers to ensure a design envelope is provided for the EIA process
And responsible for:
* Management of some of the EIA chapters ensuring a high-quality document is produced (depending on experience)
* Maintaining register of correspondence received from stakeholders
* Coordinating the internal review of the application documentation including the EIA prior to submission to the authorities
* Document management of permitting documentation
* Maintaining the permit register as well as permitting risk register and stakeholder engagement plan
* Preparing variations to survey permits
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications and core competences include:
* Educated (M.Sc. or B.Sc.) in environmental science, environmental engineering or spatial planning or similar
* At least 5 years' experience within offshore wind or similar position
* Experience with Swedish environmental and planning legislation, preferably from offshore wind projects
* Fluent English and preferably good Swedish language skills
* Experience with socioeconomic topics relevant for the EIA process
* Project management experience in relation to permitting applications and the EIA process
* Good document management skills
* You have strong communication skills that enable you to handle stakeholder relations internal and external smoothly and efficiently and can deliver excellent results through teamwork.
