Job Title: Project EngineerContract: 6 MonthsStart: September 2020

Our client is looking for a Project Engineer for a subsea cable replacement package on a major offshore wind farm.


Description:
Review of project documentation to ensure installation methodology is aligned to the contract.
Review and acceptance of reporting and deliverables. Communication of which is required to be delivered to installation team.
Attendance to kick-off meetings, HIRAs, mobilisations etc prior to offshore operations of burial and as-built survey activities.
Witnessing vessel mobilisations and calibrations, QA/QC of results and acceptance of mobilization from a survey perspective
Highlighting to the cable package any deviances from procedures. During operations this may require a fast turnaround.
Ensuring any calibrations and checks that are outstanding, or will take place in-field, are highlighted to the Ørsted project team.
Overseeing survey operations offshore to ensure adherence to the procedures.
Review of all preliminary data delivered by Installation Contractor, and acceptance or rejection of the same
Identification of defects or unexpected subsea conditions in delivered data
Delivery of accepted data to GIS and subsea cables teams for their use
Management of Ørsted survey asset to conduct verification surveys to validate installation contractors work
Review and acceptance of as-built documentation
Final reporting on project

Requirements:
Geoscience Construction Manager, Survey Party Chief, Survey Client Rep or similar with valid GWO Basic Safety Training and HUET certificates.
Extensive travel and site presence will be required.
Applicant is expected to have a good knowledge of survey and positioning in an offshore environment; MBES, visual and buried cable detection.
Candidate should have extensive experience during the Construction Phase of offshore wind projects, including cable lay and burial.
Familiarity with Global Mapper and AutoCAD advantageous.
