The Role:
Senior Concept Well Engineer

1. General Provisions

1.1. This Job Description outlines the responsibilities, rights and liabilities of the Senior Concept Well Engineer of the Well Engineering, Well Planning, Construction and Maintenance Department, Technical Directorate, Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd.

1.2. The position directly reports to the Well Engineering Team Lead.

Additional instructions may be issued by the Well Engineering Team Lead. These instructions shall be followed only in case they are not in conflict with the instructions of Line Manager.

It is understood that all times, the employee shall also take instructions as may be issued from time to time by the Head of his Directorate.

The Employee shall also abide by all Company's local normative acts and shall take instructions from other management functions as may be prescribed in such local normative acts.

1.3. Dimensions:
Depending on the work area:
- Lunskoye Development:
 Expected Lunskoye reserves: 14 Tscf gas + 250 MMbbls condensate;
 Future Lunskoye Capex estimated at some $6.5 bln;
- Piltun Development:
 Expected Piltun reserves: 700 MMbbls oil + 1.5 Tscf gas;
 Future Piltun Capex estimated at some $1.5 bln;
 41 wells: total Drillex some $800 mln
- Asktokh Further Development and OPF:
 Expected AFD reserves development: NPV8 of $534MM, 69MMbbl of SFR.
 Future AFD CAPEX estimated at some $240 - 400 MM dependent on eventual scale of the development;
 6 AFD wells firm, with a potential upside of 10 wells.
 Potentially well interventions and in-fill drilling at OPF.

1.4. The job envisages that an employee meets the following qualification requirements:
- Higher professional education in Engineering
- Additional training in Drilling, Completions and Well Services Operations

1.5. The minimal previous work experience under the speciality shall be:
- 7-10 years for Senior Concept Well Engineer.
- At least 2 years exposure to Rig operation in a supervisory position.

2. Employee's Responsibilities

The job responsibilities of the Employee are identified on the basis and in the scope of the qualification requirements and may be amended and identified according to the Job Description as required.

The Employee performs the following responsibilities:
2.1 Responsible for all well engineering/services aspects of the well conceptual process and challenging the following activities: Design, Construct, Modify or Abandon wells
2.2 Generate conceptual well designs in support of the field development plans and asset reference plans such that the Asset's oil and gas reserves can be explored/developed economically
2.3 Act as the well engineering/services liaison for the SEIC Assets
2.4 Accountable for the conceptual well design and options
2.5 Accountable for the input in detailed drilling/completion proposal, budget and VAR
2.6 Capture, initiate & implement new Well Engineering technological opportunities in Field Development Plans
2.7 Provide support to all RTL (Realising the Limits) initiatives and to facilitate learnings / technology transfer to Asset team members on areas critical to the business
2.8 Contribute to field development plans (FDPs), asset reference plans (ARPs) and detailed drilling/completion programmes
2.9 Identify non-routine long lead material requirements for projects
2.10 Actively participate in the discussion for the drilling sequence and integrated planning
2.11 Optimise well design and incorporate new technology challenges. All field developments are different and each requires innovative and novel techniques to obtain breakthrough performance and be economic. KPI: NPV increase, CAPEX reduction
2.12 Fully own, support and implement the Global Well Delivery Process requirements in activities in which you are engaged

3.7 Well Services
3.8 Production operations
3.9 Geology and petrophysics
3.10 Russian technical regulation system i.e. requirements of relevant governmental bodies: RosTechNadzor (RTN) and other Russian Approvals organisations in Well Construction
3.11 Delivers results

3.13 Contracts and Procurement
3.14 Health, Safety and Environment
3.15 Communication skills
