The Role:
To provide Document Control and Document Management services to the UKBU both for onshore and offshore
Administer the use of Document Numbers
Liaise with the 3rd Party Contractors to ensure traceability of all documents sent and received
Document version management to ensure superceded versions are archived according to protocols
Issue and control of documentation to operational facilities including Controlled Copy Drawings and Procedures
Reports on the progress of documents
Providing technical data as requested and support to the BU
Archiving and retrieval of records to / from 3rd party storage suppliers
General administration and Information Management duties when required

Ability to adopt practices to requirements, while always ensuring the document control principles are protected
Ideally educated to A Level / Higher standard with preferably engineering, IT or computing background.
Skills / experience:
Previous Document control experience in a Project and Operational context
Understating the HSEQ context of offshore operations
Understanding of technical data and documentation, and the context in which it is used.
Knowledge (e.g. systems, software, procedures, regulations):
SharePoint (or EDMS) experience
Excellent end user computer skills - Specifically Adobe, MS Excel and Word
Competent in Document Control systems and processes
Attributes and behaviours:

Deals with internal and external contacts in a professional manner. Works effectively within a team or other work group as appropriate.
Gathers information to understand problems and issues, making recommendations and/or taking action as appropriate. Manages own workload effectively.
Understands the need for change, demonstrates flexibility and is willing to try new approaches
