The Role:
Based in the London office of our Falkland Islands Business Unit, the incumbent will be responsible for proactively managing the Falkland Islands logistics activities in support of Sea Lion development (offshore the Falkland Islands) from planning through to operation.
The role will encompass all logistics activities including mobilization, wells construction (drilling), through to steady state production operations.
Travel to the Falkland Islands will be essential together with longer stays as required.

Key Accountabilities
* Accountable for execution of the Sea Lion Logistics plan in support of wells construction (drilling and completions), subsea installation, and FPSO hook-up and production phases of Sea Lion.
This will include the supervision of:
o Sea Lion aviation operations including fixed wing charter flights, on-island crew changes, and personnel movement tracking.
o Marine operations including UK/EU to FI coaster shipments, Falkland Island marine activities, and OSV operations.
o International shipping plans - including consolidation and shipment of all long lead materials from UK/EU base to F.I.
o Well construction base (supply base) operations
o Production base operations including warehousing
o COMAH site operations (TCP and methanol storage sites)
o On Island accommodation and land transport activities
o Waste management facility
o Inventory management for all phases of Sea Lion including drilling materials, completion materials, production materials.
* Liaise with technical teams, Wells, Operations, Subsea to ensure that logistics requirements are understood, communicated, and incorporated in to the over logistics plan.
* Building strong working relationships with contractors and internal company stakeholders.
* Supervision of logistics contractors, and on island logistics operations team.
* Develop logistics SOPs for the supply base, lifting operations, marine operations, aviation operations.
* Develop and support synergies with MOD, FIG, and other Falklands based entities
* Track and report all logistics costs against approved logistics budget.
* Develop and own the logistics Risk Assessment including closing out relevant actions
* Develop logistics contingency plan for logistics resilience.
* Own and supervise the mobilisation and transport of all equipment and people from the UK/EU to Falkland Islands.
* Understand and incorporate "end-user" requirements in to the logistics plan
* Support the Local Content plan and FIBU Local Content Policy.
* Develop a logistics execution plan that delivers Wells and Operations requirements within time and budget.
* Manage day-to-day logistics operations

Major Challenges
* Understanding "end-user" requirements and incorporating them in to the logistics plan
* Communicating the Logistics plans and updates to all stakeholders
* Resolving FI specific matters due to the unique in-country environment
* Managing contractors and supply chain

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
* Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline including business, logistics, supply chain, or engineering.
* Membership of relevant professional and industry groups

 Candidate Profile
Skills / experience:
* Demonstrable experience managing remote logistics requirements including, fixed wing services, helicopter services, OSVs, transport vessels.
* Strong understanding of commercial and contracting - including aviation, marine, transport, supply bases.
* Demonstrable understanding of Drilling and Production supply chain requirements.
* 15+ years' experience in remote, oil related projects - including drilling and production.
* Demonstrable project management skills.
* Marine infrastructure experience preferred
* Previous experience establishing and supervising operations in a remote environment.
* Experience working in regions with Local Content requirements
* Able to deal directly with government authorities, business community and other stakeholders
