The Role:
Key Accountabilities
- Compliance; Monitor and maintain compliance with core asset integrity management procedures; operational performance standards and assurance routines, Case to Operate and deferral procedures as well as third party verification/class.
Responsible for operating to the maintenance standards set and ensuring compliance and delivery and reporting against same.
Responsible for the inspection, testing and maintenance (planned and corrective) for all equipment classes (static and dynamic).
Ensure compliance and reporting to corporate STAIRS and monthly asset integrity requirements.
- Planning; Maintain a long range (5 year) major maintenance and inspection plan that encompasses activities requiring shutdowns and/or system outages.
Ensuring input into business planning and budget process, including appropriate contingency for failures and repairs.
Standard overhaul and repair plans in place for all major activities and critical equipment.
Deliver the annual maintenance and inspection plan on time, on budget to achieve the asset performance targets set.
Scheduling; Responsible for the generation of a prioritised and optimised maintenance and inspection schedule, targeting flawless delivery at site for all planned and corrective tasks. Therefore, ensuring all work scoping, preparation, resources (core crew and 3rd party) and materials are correct and available to deliver.
Actively monitor threats and break-in to the schedule and so plan attainment performance.
- Reliability Improvements; responsible for the optimisation of maintenance & inspection strategies with demonstrable improvements and value add to the assets. This includes achieving industry leading planned to corrective ratios, optimised repair vs. replacement plans and structured improvements on work management, trade crafts/skills and overall execution efficiency.
- Corrective Maintenance & Repair orders; responsible for the effective management of corrective maintenance and repair orders to safeguard asset performance.
This includes fabric maintenance, temporary, defined life or permanent repair orders originating from inspection activities and Materials Corrosion Damage Reports (MCDRs).
- Defect elimination; Ownership of the bad actor process to support prioritisation and systematically eliminate threats and defects.
Confirmation of correct prioritisation, preparation and scheduling of corrective work to maintain the integrity and reliability of the asset.
Identify, and feed into the management of the reliability related root cause analysis (RCAs).
- Management of Change; ensure robust and timely change process to maintenance work plans, i.e. PMCRs process, to ensure work instructions of the right frequency, quality and value adding.
- Responsible for inventory and spares parts management; Optimised inventory aligned to support delivery of planned and corrective maintenance.
Critical spares, holding, optimisation (both internally and vendor help) and preservation requirements in compliance.
- Vendor & contract management; Responsible for all the maintenance , integrity and inspection contracts. Their successful execution and control and retendering to deliver best value for the Client. Manage any external support organisations for effective and efficient delivery of maintenance support services. This includes healthy challenge to scope of works and cost, time and resource estimates ensuring maximum value to the Client.
Ensure contract management plans are in place and being followed for all key support contracts.

Resourcing & competency; Responsible for the onshore support team. Their effective delivery and performance. Also for provision, management and optimisation of maintenance labour forecasts for offshore execution, therefore accountable for the entries into the integrated asset plan.
Offshore; ensure trade craft skills are appropriate and competency can be clearly demonstrated. Support offshore to fill any vacancies and resourcing requirements.
Onshore; ensure suitable support engineer discipline coverage and competency can be clearly demonstrated.
- Performance; Deliver the annual maintenance and inspection plan on time and within budget to achieve the asset performance targets set.
Appropriate set of metrics to drive continual improvement and optimisation of equipment maintenance and inspection delivery.
Demonstrable delivery of effective execution, including data quality of history/failure codes captured to ensure a feedback loop to optimise the activity set.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Skills / experience:
* Experience with oil and gas operations (topsides and subsea) and associated equipment classes and corresponding risks from a technical and practical stand-point.
* Experience with operational maintenance management, delivery and optimisation. Sound appreciation of general maintenance, inspection and repair activities and techniques. Familiar with project/developments/operations and typical oil company processes.
* Awareness of brownfield modification process(s) in North Sea.
Knowledge (e.g. systems, software, procedures, regulations):
* UK HSE Legislation, in particular offshore regulations.
* Recognised technical codes and standards.
* Management of Change within an operational environment.
* Typical maintenance management and reliability processes/workflows in an operational environment, including appropriate performance measurement.
