The Offshore HSE Advisor, will be responsible for the offshore well site Health, Safety and Environmental supervision. They will assist in ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, procedures, guidance and best practice while providing proactive coaching on all HSE issues pertaining to operational execution. They will ensure that all offshore well activities meet the standards of the Drilling Management System, HSE Management System, and local industry and Government regulations.

  • Accountable for performing all duties with due regard to the health, safety and of the environment in which they are undertaken.
  • Provide support to all departments to encourage and assist in continuous improvement in HSES performance.
  • Prepare, review and update operations specific safety, health and environmental related procedures and directives in order to enhance the installation's capabilities in HSES Management and Emergency Response.
  • Conduct periodic workplace, operational and service company inspections, provide feedback and identify and close out any corrective actions arising from these inspections.
  • Assist in the management of observation systems, identifying and reporting trends and improvement needs.
  • Proactively work with Rig Safety Representatives and encourage their involvement in incident investigations and reporting SH&E related audits and other activities.
  • Provide input to Rig generated Risk Assessment activities and review and approve Contractor derived Risk Assessments.
  • Support the campaign HSEQ plan and promote Premier Oil's expectations with regard to environment protection

Essential Skills:

  • NEBOSH & IEMA Certificate preferred
  • Previous North Sea (& West Of Shetland) experience with semi-submersible rigs and a variety of operations
  • Valid Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET)
  • Valid medial certification
