The Role:
Our client has a short-term requirement to fill a Lead Reservoir Engineer role for non operated assets. The position will deliver reservoir engineering support and technical leadership to both operated and non-operated assets.

The Lead Reservoir Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of timely, high quality subsurface work necessary to underpin investment and operational decisions for the UK 'Non-operated Assets' portfolio,. This will comprise of both partner operated assets, client operated subsea assets tied back to third party operated facilities.

The role is responsible for both reservoir management and for developing ideas that improve reservoir and production performance that add value to the Non-operated Assets portfolio.
The Lead Reservoir engineer will be required to represent the Operator at Joint Venture Partner meetings, both operating committee and various other sub-committee forums (e.g. subsurface committee, peer-review, peer-assist), to challenge and influence the Operators of the assets that comprise the Non-operated Assets portfolio, to improve reservoir and production performance, thereby adding value.

The role is also likely to require technical supervision of a number of indirect reports drawn from the wider technical team to ensure delivery of the required subsurface work. The role does not however have any requirement for management of personnel related issues.

The Company:
Our client is an Operator within the North Sea.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be used to working in a multi-disciplinary environment but also able to self motivate and self direct. The role requires the candidate to have extensive experience and current technical capability as a Reservoir Engineer working on a variety of operated producing fields and field development projects and utilising both classical engineering and simulation techniques. Experience in leading subsurface work, having a strong track record of proactively engaging with and influencing Joint Venture Partners including experience influencing reservoir-related decisions in a non-operated role is essential.

A degree in an Engineering or Geoscience discipline and preferably a post-graduate qualification in Reservoir Engineering or Petroleum Engineering.
