The Role:
As part of a team, assist each Project / Asset Manager and /or the BU Well Engineering Manager (TA) in the management of operated and non-operated wells by ensuring all completions, interventions and well servicing activities within the BU are managed safely / efficiently and comply with Policies & Standards and all relevant Government Regulations.

Key Accountabilities
1 Ensure compliance with Well Engineering Management System / HSE Management System / Well Delivery Process and all relevant BU Procedures / North Sea Regulations.
2 Provide technical discipline expertise and provide strategic oversight to Supply Chain on all ITT's and contractual issues with regards to completions, interventions and well servicing activities.
3 Provide technical discipline expertise and provide strategic oversight to HSEQ for all safety, environmental and /or equipment issues with regards to completions, interventions and well servicing activities.
4 Provide technical discipline expertise and take ownership of completions, interventions and well servicing activities within their control, including but not limited to basis of design documents, cost estimates, (scoping, budget and AFE etc.) operational programmes, risk assessments, management of change / dispensations etc. In effect, he/she shall be responsible for delivery of the planned well work.

For all operations (within his/her control), complete the end of well reports, to include an accurate account of the operations performed, summarise performance / costs and compile lessons learned / recommendations for improvements for future operations etc.
5 Provide technical discipline expertise and support completions, interventions and well servicing activities out with their control, including but not limited to assisting with or reviewing documents, contribute to risk assessments, identify management of change and overseeing wellsite operations (etc.).
6 As required, liaise with the Well Examiner with regards to completions, interventions and well servicing compliance / operational issues.
7 As required, assist the Completions & Well Integrity Team Lead / Well Engineering Manager with the preparation of new documents and /or provide regular updates to existing documents to ensure compliance with the Well Engineering Management System.
8 Support the BU with audits or requests from OGA / HSE / BEIS (OPRED) / Oil & Gas UK (etc.) and provide assistance with any questions / queries.
9 Provide cover and assume the responsibilities of the Completions & Well Integrity Team Lead; for all completions, interventions and well servicing related issues and other duties as required during absences through holiday, sickness etc. In addition, provide cover for other Senior Completions / Interventions Engineers as required (i.e. within other Assets).
10 Support the London function (Corporate) and other BU's on all completions, interventions and well servicing activities.

Financial Accountability and Dimensions
* Provide accurate completions, interventions and well servicing cost estimates in approved format.
* As required, approve Purchase / Service Orders in support with any well work.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
* Relevant degree preferred, but appropriate training & development with a known North Sea Operator acceptable (minimum 15-year industry experience with 5-year Operator experience in a completions, interventions and /or well servicing role).
* Level 4 Supervisors IWCF Well Intervention Pressure Control Certificate.
* Medical and relevant offshore certification to allow offshore travel (UK North Sea).

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Candidate Profile (include Skills & Experience, Attributes, Behaviours)
Skills / Experience
* Extensive experience in completions, interventions and well servicing operations; to include experience working with a known North Sea Operator.
* Proven record of accomplishment for design, planning and execution of well work from semi-submersible, jack up, LWIV's and /or fixed platforms (covering both surface and subsurface XT's).
* Proven record of accomplishment for HS&E delivery, experienced with incident investigations.
* Technically competent and knowledgeable / experienced with drilling, completions, well integrity, well interventions and well servicing equipment.
Knowledge (e.g. systems, software, procedures, regulations)
* Good working knowledge of the North Sea Regulations.
* Good working knowledge of design and well construction best practices.
* Good working knowledge of vessels / platforms operating in the North Sea.
