The Role:
Provide Reservoir Engineering interpretation, guidance and support to asset teams and business development as required.

Department Non-Operated Assets - Reporting To Non Operated Assets Manager

* Lead the design, maintenance and history matching of fit-for-purpose dynamic reservoir simulation models for operated and non-operated fields as required. Utilise classical reservoir engineering techniques such as material balance and decline curves as appropriate to support the models and reserves and production forecasts.
* operated assets: Constantly seek out opportunities to optimise production and/or increase recovery. Develop or maintain the reservoir management strategy for assigned operated assets, set production targets, carry out day to day reservoir and well surveillance, ESP monitoring and manage the well-stock to deliver the strategy and maximise value delivery.
* Partner operated assets: Review and QC Operator's subsurface work and undertake fit-for-purpose independent reservoir studies as required to underpin investment and operational decisions. Influence the Operator to add value to the UK Non-operated Assets portfolio via safe and efficient field development, and value-accretive production improvements.
* Provide technically robust inputs into economic models in order to support and recommend field development and/or well intervention activity on operated and non-operated assets and prepare well recommendations, well planning documentation and AFEs as appropriate.
* Identify and drive forward opportunities for reserves progression and increased production from the assigned producing assets with a view to maximizing value and reserves for the company. Update and document identified opportunities in the opportunity hopper regularly.
* Provide high quality, accurate reporting of production profiles and reserves estimates for input into business unit monthly reports, mid-year and year-end reserves reporting and Corporate business planning process.
* Perform (and/or manage) relevant Reservoir Engineering studies (e.g. PVT, core, well test) where required to support the activites described above.
* Work closely with the Subsurface Team Lead and Asset Managers to generate and execute the subsurface work programmes necessary for the Non-operated and assigned Operated Assets portfolio. Monitor progress and prioritise work programmes, identifying additional subsurface technical support requirements and working with the 'UK Subsurface Manager' to ensure personnel are available to deliver the work programmes.
* Represent at operating, subsurface and other sub-committee meetings and external reviews as required

Skills / experience:

* Extensive experience and current technical capability as a Reservoir Engineer with an E&P Operator working on a broad range of operated development and production projects in both oil and gas fields. Experience of HPHT reservoirs and development would be a significant advantage.
* A strong track record of proactively engaging with and influencing Joint Venture Partners including experience influencing reservoir-related decisions in a non-operated role. The breadth of the role will also demand a good understanding of wider subsurface and drilling related issues.
* Substantial experience in dynamic modelling, history matching and sensitivity analysis using Eclipse (or similar) software.
* Track record of successful production operations reservoir engineering support, manging producing well-stock on a daily basis, including experience of monitoring and managing ESP performance.
* Track record of proactively proposing and implementing successful reservoir management and infill well recommendations.
* Experience and detailed understanding of well operations, well tests and completions.
* Knowledge (e.g. systems, software, procedures, regulations):
* Fully competent reservoir engineer with classical reservoir engineering skills.
* Up to date working knowledge of technical software including Eclipse, Petrel, Petroleum Experts (GAP, PVT, MBal etc.) analytical tools, and Microsoft Office.
* Familiarity with hydrocarbon resources estimation and reporting.
* Comfortable working autonomously and within dynamic teams, sometimes mentoring and assisting others. Leadership qualities.
* Detail focused, with ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met.
* Exhibits the core Premier behaviours of creativity, decisiveness, delivery, openness and ability to work well with others in a team environment.
