The Role:
The Technical Data Management organizationorganization in Shell New Orleans and Houston WoodcreekWoodcreek is seeking applications for contract positions. The ideal candidate will be a geoscientistgeoscientist or Data Management Professional embedded in the asset team and responsible for managing the data used in Upstream businesses related to the Technical Disciplines: Subsurface (Geology, PetrophysicsPetrophysics, Reservoir Engineering, Production Technology, and Geophysics), Wells Engineering, and Production Engineering.

The candidate will be working closely and embedded in a Deep-Water Asset Team that is a very dynamic and active basin. New data is continually in need of being incorporated into existing databases

Detailed Responsibilities:
*Single*Single point of accountability for all technical subsurface data in the context of operations, surveillance, and development team.
*Ensures*Ensures all data is loaded and managed in appropriate Master Data stores, Corporate Data and Project Data stores following Shell TDMTDM standards.
*Ensure*Ensure consistency and integrity of data in all related stores, and the relation between them by carefully managing metadatametadata standards and processes.
*Monitor*Monitor data quality using existing tools to examine data stores in a holistic manner
*Operational*Operational data management support provided according to a variety of Subsurface Data Management standards and procedures
*Build*Build, implement and support an integrated TDMTDM plan for all data in the business project, in cooperation with the UAUA TDMTDM & WFWF Team.
*Implement*Implement best practices from ongoing TDMTDM improvement efforts
*Responsibility*Responsibility, where delegated, to certify data security, entitlements, confidentiality and ensure access according to control definitions.
*Provide*Provide support and mentorshipmentorship the business team on all DMDM matters, on-board new staff and train them on current operational DMDM procedures
*Work*Work with other members of the UAUA TDMTDM&WFWF teams to provide agreed turn-around service levels, and effectively prioritizeprioritize work items with Data Quality Assurance Team (DQUATDQUAT) members

Requirements:
*A*A degree or diploma like a BscBsc Degree or equivalent in Applied Computing or Information Technology related field. Consideration for applicants working towards a BscBsc Degree or equivalent in Applied Computing or Information Technology related field or other qualifications combined with proven 3 to 5 years of experience in related business domain.
*Experience*Experience or training in Oracle databases, SQLSQL Plus and Linux is preferred.
*Familiar*Familiar with the principles and practices involved in development and maintenance of Data Management solutions
*Strong*Strong stakeholder engagement/management in a global/local/remote team environment
*Communicates*Communicates well, both orally and in writing.
*Desirable*Desirable experience using Landmark applications such as Openwork, and SchlumbergerSchlumberger application such as Petrel
*Desirable*Desirable experience on python, spot fire, Power BI."
