The Role:
The Accountant independently leads certain areas of work on behalf of the Atlantic Shores Commercial director - and by doing so supports in guiding the JV through the wider Financial landscape.

This includes: Overseeing the day-to-day Finance implementation work that is ongoing within Atlantic Shores, Financial month-end and quarter end reporting for Atlantic Shores, Analyses on Atlantic Shores spend vs budget.
Responsibilities: (Up to 10 statements to identify the fundamental job duties in order of importance and include % of time for each statement - Should equal 100% including "5% - Other duties as assigned" below)

* Acts the Atlantic Shores focal point (first line) for any queries that come up during the execution of Finance implementation of policies, procedures and systems in a fit for purpose manner.
Financial month-end and quarter accounting & end reporting for Atlantic Shores
* Each month, controls actual and committed costs logged into the ERP accounting system (WBS allocation, amount and phasing vs. budget), updates the budget forecast, maintains a dynamic budget file that can be used for various forecast needs and cash calls.
* Controls / Contributes to entries into ERP accounting system for Purchase Orders, Good Receipts and Invoice Payment for major contracts.
* Compare actuals with baselines and report to Finance director
* Performances regular analyses of spend against approved budget
* Controls the Atlantic Shores time-writing process (integrated in ERP) and ensures compliance by resources in client and EDFR.
* Support to the Finance Director in communication with both parent organization' controllers (e.g. on the month-end results)
* Provides regular Board of Director materials on financial topics for the Finance Director
* Supports the annual Tax filing for Atlantic Shores (ultimately accountable tax partner: EDFR)
20% - Other duties as assigned (Do not delete from job description)
o Ensures financial record keeping and documentation management are implemented in an effective and efficient manner pursuant to JV policy and other requirements.
o Support the Finance Director with ITC (tax) related analyses
o Perform other tasks as assigned by the Finance Director.

Supervision of Others:
* No direct reports.
* JV Finance implementation (policies, procedures, ERP) is ongoing and direct interface with service provider (external or parent org) is expected.

Qualifications: (Degree/Certifications/License/Experience/Specialized Knowledge/Skills)
- At least a bachelor's degree in Finance or Business is required; and
- Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, or Chartered Accountant licensure.
Experience/Skills/Abilities

The successful candidate:
* Has 5+ years of relevant Finance work experience, either within wind and/or offshore industry leading high profile projects, or from CPA/audit public practice from a firm of Certified Public Accountants;
* Is a highly motivated self-starter and team player;
* Demonstrates ability to work successfully with multiple people from all types of fields of expertise in a high-paced JV environment;
* Has experience with the implementation and set-up of ERP systems in new environments;
* Demonstrates a deep understanding with finance and tax matters relevant for Atlantic Shores;
* Has deep experience with budgets and maturation of large industrial projects through their life-cycle.;
* Shows outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication, presentation skills required; and
* Has good organizational and communication skills.

Note:
* Experience with Tax (including ITC/PTC) a significant competitive advantage.
* Any experience with offshore wind a significant competitive advantage.

Physical Requirements:
- Be able to work in the Atlantic Shores Brooklyn Office
