The Role:
Description:

Our client is one of the world's leading energy companies, with approximately 60,000 employees working in countries around the world. We explore, produce and transport crude oil and natural gas; refine, market and distribute fuels and other energy products; manufacture and sell petrochemical products; generate power; and develop future energy resources, including biofuels and geothermal energy.

Summary:
The main function of this business analyst role is to verify data quality, facilitate data validation, and make updates to the data attributes in the internal application configuration & inventory databases. The work requires interaction across multiple business disciplines and departments, interviewing and collecting information via email, telephone and face to face meetings with different teams. Other responsibilities may include following project management processes for work planning, execution, communication and metrics.

Job Responsibilities:
* Collect, analyze and compare data from multiple sources, identify and document gaps & trends.
* Collaborate with team members to develop a plan. Execute the plan with frequent updates on progress and risks.
* Provide data inputs and assist with analytical work.
* Establish and maintain communications with stakeholders within and outside the project teams.
* Maintain records of all project communications data and business metrics
* Document business processes and project presentations.

Required Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
* Customer focused, and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and manage own time to accomplish goals..
* Knowledge of Information/Records Management, technology/software development lifecycle and IT operational support processes (e.g. IT Service Management, ITIL processes) a plus.
* Ability to break down large deliverables and objectives into small actionable work items and tasks.
* Previous experience with computer applications, including Microsoft Word. Excel and PowerPoint.
* Intermediate Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
* Bachelor's degree in business management, information systems (geology or geophysics a plus), economics, or relevant field required.
* 0-2 years related experience required
