The Role:
Job Title: ITC - Monitoring & Event Mgmt Design Software Developer

The Integrated Operations Monitoring and Event Management Design Team provides solutions that monitor and analyze the performance, health, and availability of IT assets such as applications and the supporting infrastructure. Various product and tools are utilized to provide IT Partners with critical alerts, automated remediation, and insights affecting their applications. The successful candidate will be required to work in an Agile environment to develop and support technology that supports and grows the monitoring service and improves reliability of IT assets. The primary platform for the monitoring service consists of utilizing Azure Cloud and Axure Monitor as well as other products. The candidate should expect to work from a high to low level of detail, be effective in problem resolution and systems troubleshooting, have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a range of stakeholders.

The successful candidate will:
* Responsible for development activities, testing and implementation to support the client's monitoring service and ensure alignment with the Enterprise Architecture.
* Perform development activities to enhance current functionality as well as develop new functionality to support monitoring services for applications (SAAS, IAAS, PAAS) and all hosting (Private or Public cloud)
* Work with Product Owner and SREs and client's business units to translate requirements into actionable technology to meet the needs and develop cost effective IT Monitoring and Event Management Services
* Be responsible for performing day to day design activities for client's enterprise monitoring services, and to review, plan for, and execute software upgrades as needed
Required abilities:
* Experience in software development, design, and testing.
* 5+ years' experience with scripting/programming languages like: Python, PowerShell, C#, JavaScript
* Strong working knowledge in some of the following IT competencies: Azure Log Analytics, Kusto Query Language (KQL) or equivalent SQL queries, V3 Pipeline, Ansible, PowerShell Scripting
* Experience with JSON, XML and Rest Web Services. Automation, SQL and REST APIs., and related communication and connectivity technologies to develop developing new software solutions
* Ability to analyze problems, application failures, develop strategies or creative solutions for resolving them and preventing future occurrences
* Experience in application / network performance and availability monitoring
* Strong teamwork and customer engagement skills
* Experience in working with Agile and Scrum. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team environment.
* Experience with cloud technologies, Azure preferred.

Desired abilities:
* 3+ years' experience with IT infrastructure, architecture, or administration
* Knowledge of proactive monitoring using Azure services, and synthetic transactions Runbook
* 3+ years' experience with Analytics/Dashboard tools at a large enterprise level
* Public cloud experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS Background
* Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, PKI, Network WAN/LAN and TCP/IP architecture. Network Security
* Working knowledge of some of the following technologies: Windows and Linux administration, SQL, Oracle, IIS, Cloud technologies, IIOT, Network and Network Security
* 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or technical IT roles, plus an IT-related degree or equivalent work experience
