The Role:
Oversee security aspects of the company operations. Will have ownership to ensure that all security policies and controls are fully implemented, while providing the business with guidance in risk assessment and threat mitigation to ensure the people and Company's assets are protected

Core Accountabilities

Direct liaison with Principal Security
Monitoring of all internal security systems
Development of security updates
Issue immediate security alerts via mass communication means
Organize and deliver security specific oversight to safe travel and journey management programs for employees, contractors and company expats assigned or traveling to Trinidad & Tobago
Update travel report in coordination with the issuing agency
Maintain traveler identification and traveler records
Conduct security orientations for all incoming travelers
Serve as primary point of contact for secure transportation, and act as immediate coordinator in the event of any high-impact, security-related incidents such as kidnap and missing persons, among others, where appropriate.
Maintain training records
Oversight of contractor activities
Proactive and regular security follow up with senior staff and expatriate families
Maintain checklists and contact sheets, to coordinate immediate action incident response
Assisting in the Active liaising with Trinidad emergency services
Conduct and supervise low-level investigations in cases of localized theft, property damage and other breaches in security.
24-hour on call availability
Internal auditing to ensure that all functions (above) are complete and correct

Qualifications

Bachelor / Associate Degree or diploma in security management or equivalent qualification

Experience and Technical Competencies

Background in National Security (military, law enforcement or civilian) or private security organization; Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry is a plus
Security Management or supervisory role in high risk environments in public or private sector organization
Familiar with legislation and regulation affecting security particularly the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights
Security technology - protection of structures and installations & executive protection.
