The Role:
Our client is seeking an Advanced Solutions Specialist - IOC (Integrated Operations Center) in Whitecourt. As the technical expert, the Advanced Solutions Specialist - IOC will be entrusted with operational support of key IOC technologies and developing technical roadmaps to ensure the growth of IOC capabilities and value creation. The position is slated through 3/1/2021 at this time and will most likely extend through the end of 2021.

Planning and Design
* Implement scientific methodologies and develop economic metrics on an ongoing basis to support asset performance evaluation, ranking, and reporting
* Design new applications according to stakeholder requests. Update and manage design specifications for each applications and track progress to meet end user expectations
* Prepare use case and basic economics for recommended solutions. Refine procedures and workflows following project updates
* Provide stewardship support on strategic planning and operational road mapping
* Develop real-time performance monitoring applications to support operations and define KPIs/exceptions reporting that proactively detect issues
* Develop reports and applications that help decisions to optimize netback and operating costs
* Support initiatives / projects that improve remote monitoring and control
* Develop chemical management program and wireless sensor applications in KD
* Compile monthly LPO reporting and Bad actor analysis to identify issues causing loss of production opportunity
* Coordinate with stakeholders and SMEs to develop mitigation plans/MOCs leading to LPO recovery
* Perform RCA and FMEA on asset related issues to understand the cause and effect which drives decision to address potential problems
* Evaluate control loop performances and tuning effectiveness on a per pad basis to identify areas of improvement
* Perform benchmarking assessments on field assets and 3rd party top quartile performers to understand the gap and seek areas of improvement
Technical Support
* Collaborate with key business groups (ACOT, IT, Operations, Marketing) to ensure business priorities are met
* Support integration work for new pads startup, facility upgrade, MOCs, and artificial lift installs
* Implement engineering calculations on Realtime data to provide technical insights and customize notifications/alerts to support in time decision makings.
* Manage PI AF structure and procedure for data integration and future full field development
* Provide daily operational support in design changes and data quality issues through managing real-time monitoring applications for IOC
* Support issue diagnostic between PI and SCADA and field instrumentations

* A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in well monitoring software development and implementation required
* Education Requirement: Engineering Degree required
* Experience within operations center environment required
* Project management/coordination experience required
* Experience integrating, support design and setup of PI, SCADA, EC (Energy Components) and OneStor data transfer required
* Proficient working experience within MS Office required

* Per Diem or Expenses will not be approved for this position
* Position will require individual to sit on site

The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their LNG mega-project in Western Canada.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
