The Role:
Description:

Our client is one of the world's leading energy companies, with approximately 60,000 employees working in countries around the world. We explore, produce and transport crude oil and natural gas; refine, market and distribute fuels and other energy products; manufacture and sell petrochemical products; generate power; and develop future energy resources, including biofuels and geothermal energy.

Summary: The main function of a project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc. or any other based project. Job Responsibilities: Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. Present and explain proposals, reports and findings to clients. Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence. Analyse technology, resource needs and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects. Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures. Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates. Direct, review and approve product designs and changes. Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.

Skills: Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work independently and manage one's time. Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. Strong knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field. PMI or PMP certification preferred.
2-4 years' experience required.
-Must have Agile methodology experience (team uses the client's CPDEP method)
-Knowledge of how to executing projects
-Ability to facilitate and communicate to different target audiences
-Be Coachable

Nice to have skills:
-Business Analyst skills

Interview: Will be with manager and two project managers

Notes from manager:
This resource is a backfill for a current PM that is going on family leave. Will be taking over 4 projects that are over 160k in budget and in hours. Needs to be able to manage roughly 4-8 projects at one time. Resource needs to have some Business Analyst skills since will be needing to gather data from vendors or stakeholders. Will need to be hands one and be able to execute projects from where they are in the process.

The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, requires expertise for their LNG mega-project in Western Canada.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
