The Role:
This position provides leadership and direction to the team based on the logistics base to ensure safe efficient operations.

The role is the main interface between the Asset Operations (5) Sites, the Port of Spain Office and the Logistics base.

The position provides the strategic view on all logistics and materials supply chain processes supporting the 5 operational sites.

Within the asset, this position is responsible for working closely with the operational sites (5 off) to ensure all logistics, marine and materials processes are aligned to the strategic direction of the Asset/s and providing the necessary input into the Asset Business plans. Key accountabilities being:-
Is the key integrator across the operational sites (primarily through the OIMs) & the logistics base personnel to ensure alignment on business priorities & ensures operating costs are optimized in support of delivery.

Provides support and direction to the Logistics Base team to ensure safe efficient operations through optimization of all available resources via effective planning, work prioritization & preparation.

Accountable for the key areas within the Asset Production Operations 1year & 3 year strategic plans.

To work closely with the Operations Delivery Manager, Engineering & Reliability Manager, Maintenance & Shutdown Manager, Asset Production Manager and VP Ops to ensure that the strategic view is taken & aligned to the assets business objectives and strategy for continued growth.

Support the Asset Managers as required, with any interactions with partners and external stake holders.

Accountable for implementing and maintaining compliance to the relevant client standards across Production Operations, Supply Chain, Marine & Aviation.

Lead the development and progress of OE plans to strive for the highest level of Operational Excellence within area of expertise.

Ensuring that systems and accountability are in place to deliver Opex and Capex activity to budget as per assumptions

Provide support and management direction to ensure risks are constantly held at their lowest level by effective use of the PEAR tool, Barrier Model (Cumulative Risk) and also AI Leading & Lagging KPIs to identify potential threats so that they are mitigated and appropriately managed in a timely manner.

Ensuring that systems, procedures and practices are in place to deliver exceptional HSSE performance across marine base operations, helicopter operations, marine operations and materials management warehousing activities.

Implement Core Processes and associated local operating procedures to standardise and control the movement of materials at every stage in the supply chain. Including, custodian / owner of the asset inventory & accountable for the end-to-end disposals cycle including managing third parties engaged in these activities.

Manage inventory audits and cyclical stock counts ensuring that segregation of duty rules are followed. Reconcile all resulting discrepancies.

Optimise the design and layout of warehouse and yard areas for most efficient and effective storage, handling and flow of materials.

Contribute to management reviews and also provide ongoing assurance that compliance with policy & procedures is achieved by conducting audits & reviews and by trending key indicators and tracking core activities.

Provides direct coaching and management to immediate reports to ensure maximum experience & knowledge transfer over the period of assignment to this role (typically 2-3 years).

Integrate closely with other functions (e.g. Drilling) to facilitate their needs in delivery of the Asset business Plan (e.g. managing and handling of all drilling materials tranported to the drilling locations and also stock holding of drilling materials).

Ensure Demand Managers within the LMM team are adequately trained to exercise their role with their contractors and monitor their effectiveness

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Significant experience in the Oil & Gas or Chemical processing industry
* People management, leadership and relationship management experience e.g. leading multi-disciplined team/s
* A good understanding and working knowledge of supply chain systems and processes.
* A good understanding of materials master data management.
* A good understanding of the entire Logistics & Materials Management chain i.e. Marine, Helicopters, Warehousing, Marine Base Operations and road transport requirements

* A degree in Engineering preferable and/or Business Management
* A deep understanding of business processes, Supply chain, Materials Management or Logistics

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Influencing skills across the broad range of business functions
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* A key integrator across the broad range of operational sites and business functions
* Business acumen to recognize risks to the Asset before they escalate
* Adaptability and Flexibility to handle day-to-day work challenges confidently & ability to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity, and change
