The Role:
The Cost Controller - Subsea and Export Pipeline is responsible for coordinating all cost control and estimating activities for the Project's subsea/export pipeline scope of work.

Key Accountabilities
* Develop the cost estimate for subsea and pipeline costs from FEL3 through execution.
* Develop, update and present cost forecasts reflecting the total subsea and pipeline scope throughout FEL3 and execution.
* Ensure the proper registration, validation and reporting of actual costs that are charged to the Project.
* Coordinate preparation of any additional funding requests submitted for the subsea and pipeline scope of work.
* Development of cost forecasts in accordance with agreed procedures.
* Ensuring that the cost estimates and cost forecasts reflect the latest subsea and pipeline scope of work, project schedule, and project execution and contracting strategy.

Key Responsibilities
* Summarize the subsea/export pipeline cost estimates.
* Collaborating in the development of cost contingency for subsea/pipeline costs.
* Validation of subsea/export pipeline contractor cost estimates for completeness, accuracy and against historical benchmarks for services, labour and materials.
* Participate in the development and provision of monthly cost and schedule reporting.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or equivalent.
* Minimum of 10 years of cost estimating and cost forecasting experience in major upstream capital projects.
* Minimum of five years' experience in subsea/pipelines cost benchmarking, estimating and cost control activities.
* Demonstrated understanding of project controls and project contracting and procurement disciplines and their relationship to cost estimating and cost forecasting activities.
* Familiar with the use of proprietary and custom computer software systems used for estimating, cost control and project management.
