The Role:
Long term contracting role for a Drilling Technician to join the engineering team of the Well Operations Group supporting the planning and execution of multiple offshore exploration and development drilling programs. The Drilling Technician provides technical data management in support of drilling engineering planning and ongoing drilling operations. This position is based in the Perth office and reports to the Wells Engineering Supervisor.

* Participate in and contribute to the Drilling HSE initiatives while supporting the team's annual business plan
* Administration of WellView reporting system including set up of new wells, management of daily costs, quality control/editing of daily reports and operational data analyses
* Point of contact for rig supervisors regarding any Wellview issues
* Regulatory Reporting and submission of permitting and approval documentation for NOPSEMA, NOPTA and the ANPM
* Coordination and review of engineering technical documentation
* Management of Operations Regulatory requirements database and monitoring of well construction checklists
* Collate & submit internal and external Rushmore benchmarking data
* Provide drilling and completion data analysis for engineers
* Preparation of well and technical drawings using VISIO
* Assist Engineers in the preparation of end of well reports
* Management of MaxBook Well Design and Delivery Process (WDDP)
* Raising Management of Change requests and Dispensation requests via COPA Global portal
* Assist with preparation of technical presentations
* Organise offsite meetings including campaign kick-off meetings, DWOPs, etc.
* Provide contract management support for the team including support for 3rd party contractors
* Assist with general Administration tasks.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Circa 3 years as Drilling Technician or equivalent
* Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software
* Excellent teamwork skills are required
* Excellent communication/ presentation skills
* Ability to manage a diverse workload and meet critical deadlines.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience with the WellView reporting system
* University degree in technical/science area
* Experience with drilling engineering or operations
