The Role:
The Flowline Installation Engineer supports the SURF Package Lead in the FEED phase with the development of infield flowline design (Reel lay and S-lay), tender development, evaluation and negotiation, as well as supporting interfacing with SPS and the FPSO.
Once in Execution, the role shall transition into day to day management of the infield flowline scope performed by the SURF T & I contractor and the site/offshore Operator management team and to achieve successful completion of the infield flowline installation.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities
* Ensure construction specifications and datasheets are code compliant and suitable for purpose
* Ensure all flowline delivery requirements are adequately specified within the installation contract
* Oversee the delivery of the flowline installation scope including installation engineering, structure design/fabrication/testing, spoolbase loadout, pipehaul, pre-lay and post-lay span correction and flowline pre-commissioning
* Day to day management of the flowline installation Client team offshore and on site

Key Responsibilities
* Review the flowline system design related deliverables from the FEED contractor
* Support the FEED design team in the development of an infield flowline design that facilitates optimised installation and pre-commissioning activities
* Ensure execution methodologies meet project technical, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements, seek out and apply best practices and lessons learned from other projects
* Ensure supply of all linepipe materials, coatings and other flowline components (CPI or Contractor supplied) are aligned in quantity and specification with contract requirements
* Support development of the SURF ITT for the installation of the infield CRA flowlines, focusing on the scope of work, Company provided information, interface information and key dates
* Day to day coordination with the flowline installation contractor to ensure effective and efficient transfer of information between Company and Contractor
* Co-ordinate with subject matter experts on welding, NDT, field joint coating, fabrication, quality control, engineering and pre-commissioning to ensure that Company technical requirements are met
* Promote and lead project wide safety initiatives and implementation of the project HES plans at worksites
* Meet project expectations regarding Quality of engineering documents, procured materials, fabricated structures and the installed flowlines
* Assist with staffing and management of the flowline fabrication, loadout and installation sites with Company representation
* Ensure auditing and vessel assurance processes for all assets associated with the flowline installation are followed
* Operate offshore as a Senior Client Representative during the offshore installation phase, in this role the individual will be responsible for the management of a multifunctional offshore team

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree in a directly relevant technical discipline from an accredited University or equivalent technical qualification
* Minimum 15 years of experience in all aspects relating to installation of rigid CRA submarine pipelines by Reel lay and S-lay methods in accordance with DNV OS-F101
* In depth knowledge of the full pipelay process including, welding, NDT, coating, spoolbase loadout for reeling, pipehaul and installation
* Offshore experience onboard pipelay vessels during Reel lay and S-lay installation, FLET handling and deployment and pipeline pre-commissioning
* Experience in the design, fabrication of buckle initiator structures and FLETs and their interfaces with diverless connection systems
* Understanding of current industry practices towards lateral buckling mitigation methods
* Demonstrate experience in managing pipeline installation contracts and multi-disciplined offshore teams
* Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeho
