The Role:
Tasked with the challenge of developing and executing the structural design of both hull and topsides for a new FPSO in Australia throughout FEED and Execution stages. Working directly for the owner and operator of the vessel, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural design complies with regulatory, class, company, and contractor standards while satisfying functional requirements.

  • Monitor contractor's performance and provide guidance to ensure requirements are met.
  • Review and monitor project structural deliverables and design changes.
  • Conduct QA surveillance of contractors/vendors adherence to requirements for fabrication and installation.
  • Provide technical guidance for all aspects of structural design throughout FEED and Execution.
  • Identify, scope and manage 3rd party engineering studies to provide input on design.
  • Topside-hull-turret interface issues - Spec break locations, dynamics, and flexure induced stresses.
  • HAZID and 3D model reviews.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Civil/Structural Engineering Degree
  • Must have FPSO FEED Experience
  • Interpersonal Stakeholder Skills
  • Ability to Travel for Project Needs


Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

  • Fabrication yard experience in Australasia
  • Major capital project experience on both hull and topside designs
