The Role:
An Accounts Payable opportunity has arisen to join a leading Oil and Gas Operator based in Perth for 12 months. The purpose of this high volume position is to audit, verify and process invoices received by the Cost Control and Invoice Processing team. This position provides a base for an enthused professional to hit the ground running and get stuck into it, who has the capability to deal with high volumes of work and has excellent professional accumen.
As the successful candidate your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Checking application of indirect taxes.
  • Verifying tax application, ensure compliance to internal controls and processing on a timely basis to meet credit terms.
  • Verifying authorized supporting documentation for invoices.
  • Obtaining approval signatures and appropriate Cost Codes.
  • Data Entry into SAP (FI or MM module) as required and process service entries.
  • Follow up invoice issues and queries.
  • Obtaining necessary vendor packs (Vendor details and EFT form) for new vendors to be created in SAP.
  • Regular GRIR reconciliation monitoring and follow-up.

In order to hit the ground running, as the successful candidate you will have experience in or hold the following:

  • 3 to 5 years Accounts Payable experience.
  • Essential SAP proficiency.
  • Intermediate to advanced abilities in Excel spread sheet.
  • Oil and Gas/Resource Industry exposure preferred but not necessary.
