The Role:
Our client is looking for a Lead Project Planner to be responsible for developing, baselining, progressing and forecasting the plans and schedules for one of their major projects.

This position will report into the Integrated Planning Lead, and will be required to work with different functional groups within the company and outside contractors for planning and scheduling work.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Determine progress weighting and rules of credit for project deliverables
* Statuses the schedules enabling the project teams to fully control progress, and forecast deliverable finish dates for all project phases
* Accurate forecasting of schedule slippage and developing recovery schedules and schedule risk mitigation strategies
* Responsible for leading a team of planners to develop, baseline and monitor full life cycle schedules of a major project
* Identify key project risks and run schedule risk analyses to determine expected probabilistic dates for project activities and milestones
* Deliver monthly exception reports based upon analysis of the overall baselined project schedule, specifying areas of variance and recommended remedial action to the Project Controls Manager and Asset Transition Manager
* Assist in the implementation and management of the 'Management of Change' process in line with project change management procedures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Minimum qualification is Trade/Diploma level qualification in Electrical or Mechanical field
* Extensive experience in planning / scheduling associated with major oil and gas projects
* Experience in executing project in a Brownfield environment and in an operating facility
* Advanced planning experience utilising Primavera P6 including resource management
* Experience in use of Oracle Primavera Risk (Pertmaster) for assessing the project schedule risk
* Experience developing planning procedures and reviewing subcontractor tender documentation
* Experience reviewing subcontractor schedules to identify progress, critical activities and forecasts to provide analysis of the impact on owners' schedule
* Ability to summarise and communicate complex schedules to stakeholders including management, regulators, contractors and operations
* Strong PC skills including the use of MS Word, Excel, and Project
* Highly motivated and adaptable, able to adjust to changing schedules and priorities

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Expert level MS Excel skills.
* Past planning experience with oil and gas facility shutdowns.
* Subsea infrastructure installation experience.
* Certificate IV in project management
* Experience in integrated activity planning
