The Role:
This is a 24 month contract position for a Maintenance Planner (Instrument & Electrical) based in Darwin. The role will require you to develop and plan maintenance work ranging from 21 days to 2 years to ensure timely and effective decision making and planning of scope according to the integrated planning process. This is performed with close communications between all groups. Typical work load for this role is to be cross functional and support other planners on-site. Although it is instrument and electrical (I&E) planning position, the role is not limited to this discipline and is expanded to all areas of planning including projects. Key responsibilities include:

* Prepare maintenance revision work orders for future maintenance plan revisions, ensuing timely resolution of scope and materials issues before 21-days from handover.
* Responsible for the control and monitoring of the planning data input into computerised maintenance management system and when required, synchronising into Primavera schedules.
* Support the integration of Fabric Maintenance, projects, and Maintenance planning activities.
* Undertake duties as per the Integrated Planning Process.
* Support the detailed management of safety critical work orders (PSVs/CFT's).
* Provide planning support to Maintenance Coordinators, planners and specialists to ensure schedule and commitments are met.
* Input to the Integrated Plan that is managed within SAP plan and 120-day plan.
* Identify and participate in continuous improvement activities.
* Develop Rate Reduction and Shutdown scopes.
* Participate in continuous improvement activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

* Minimum qualification is Trade/Diploma level qualification in Electrical or Instrument/Electrical field.
* Prior experience in Oil and Gas Industry.
* Experience in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (SAP or other).
* Maintenance scheduling tool e.g. Primavera or Prometheus.
* Experience with Plant shutdown/turnaround activities, including planning, resource requirements, cost management, material reservations, etc.
* Advanced PC skills including demonstrated well-developed skills in MS Office Suite.
* Flexible to a changing work environment, including schedule changes, work prioritising, employee work assignments, etc.
* Demonstrated well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated high level of analytical and problem-solving skills.
